Yeeerrrrrr

Day 12: Your thoughts and opinions on Harry Potter
Please don't get me started. All I will comment on this question is that if you have not read the pages of the Harry Potter I greatly suggest (for your own benefit/survival) that you hide in a hole and never come out because I will personally track you down and tear your bare flesh off your spine whilst wearing fake nails, cook your flesh into a pie, then make you eat it. In other words, Harry Potter is basically the one thing in the world which is NOT over-rated.

Enough said.

P.S. I finished the book I was talking about yesterday and have begun reading another called 'Hope and Memory'. It's. Amazing. I'm having abit of an unhealthy obsession with non-fiction books.....

P.P.S. DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL?. When you buy a ticket for a train ride, you are paying for the service of the train taking you to your destination; you are NOT paying for a seat. I am more than happy to give up my seat for the elderly and pregnant women , but it makes me SO ANGRY when other people expect us to stand up. Today on the train I was struggling with holding my folder/5 books/laptop, about to drop everything, and I look over at all the adults seated, staring aimlessly out the window, the only thing they're carrying is their little handbag/manbag and their I-pod. I personally feel as though adults should give up their seats for students if they are in situations like mine. COME ON. IT'S JUST BEING ETHICAL. I swear the adults find satisfaction in seeing us dying with our carry items.

P.S. HE HAASS A NAAMMEEE! You know, that insanely perfect creature of the male species that I posted on the blog a few days ago? As I pinned a photo of him to the 'Hot Guys Wall' in the common room, my friend exclaimed:
OMG FRANCISCO LACHOWSKI
Without further to do, I now present you with Francisco Lachowski, the hot (even though he's a bit feminine), 18 year old Brazilian model. My 'type' is lanky/brown hair/not up themselves, but this guy is definitely an exception....

ZOMG (p.s. Tiasha Tiasha Tiasha)

Day 11: Your top 3 favourite bands
OMG I LOVE THIS QUESTION (although it is quite difficult to choose). Let's see:
1. MUSE (do I even have to say the word?)
I'm more into individual singers but if I had to choose some more bands they would be:
2. Bloc Party & The Postal Service (a tie)
3. Radiohead

Today is a historic day, my friends.
WE GOOTTT THHEEE COOMMOONNN RROOOOMMMMM (note excessive use of CAPITALS and letters).

I drank 3 cups of tea, painted a picture of James Franco on the mural we did on a wall, and sat around aimlessly throughout the duration of my free periods, eating other people's food and drinking other people's drink while they were at maths. Life is sweet.
Tomorrow I'm bringing in my love-heart fairy lights and some photos I printed off the internet for our 'Hot Guys' wall....don't ask.

I'm reading a really great book called 'Regarding the Pain of Others', by Susan Sontag, which is an (extremely long) essay on war photography. In the essay, she sets out to answer one of the three questions posed in Virginia Woolf's book Three Guineas,
"How in your opinion are we to prevent war?".
I'm extremely anti-war and the arguments which the essay raises really confirm many of my views on the atrocities of war. It's some research for my Extension 2 English major work, along with 5 other books which I have to read which were given to me by my uber amazing mentor MS ORRDEELLL.

Goodbye forevs. JOKES.

P.S. HAAARRYYY PPPOOTTTEEERR ISSS NEARRLLYY HHEERREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

P.P.S. Pure. Epicness.

It's hot.

Really, really hot.
When it's hot = laziness
Laziness= not going to write much on blog
Not going to write much on blog= going to post pictures instead.

Before I post my photos and go to make myself another milo, I shall say this and this only.
THE SOCIAL NETWORK IS AWESOME. I watched it last night (after I bought that pair of shoes I was stalking), and I must say that it is indeed a movie of the epic sort. I especially liked it when he threw beer bottles at the wall.

That is all.

P.S. OHH MAAA GAWWDD HARRY POTTER IS COMING OUT THIS WEEK.
For the final movie coming out next year, I've decided I'm going to organise a huge flash-mob in the city (I'm thinking the intersection outside the QVB at Town Hall), where half of the participants dress up as Voldemorts Army, the other half as Hogwarts students, and when the clock strikes midday everyone runs onto the road and starts battling it out with spells etc. I'm excited already.
Here is a Harry Potter related photo to celebrate.

P.P.S. Be jealous due to the fact that I am off for dinner tonight at our family friend's house who is a Thai cook and was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald....
P.P.P.S. This puppy is the cutest thing since James Franco's face.

Day 8: Are you a fitness guru or a couch potato? Explain your habits/routines
Hmmmmmm. I guess I am mixture of the two. I do yoga/play hockey in Winter as my two regular exercising activities, but at the moment apart from yoga (which I've been skipping because of Glee) my only exercise is walking to the corner store to buy Almond Magnums. I sometimes workout on the gym equipment in my house and say to my self 'ok...every Saturday morning I'll work out for half an hour', however I never follow this up and end up spending my Saturday mornings blogging/eating icing sugar out of the tub. So there you have it folks, my exercise routine..

So babysitting last night was PARADISE.
The two boys are adorable, the mum had set up a display of snacks/dinner for me (dinner was black bean beef and fried rice), the kids went to bed at 8.30, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was on (speaking of Harry Potter, the reviews of the 7th movie are AWEESOMMEE). Oh, and I GOT A $20 TIP! Off to buy the pair of shoes I've had my eyes on...

I have something to say and I have been pondering it for a while now. What makes the male species think that girls want to watch/enjoy watching them play video games? In California the kid who lived across the road asked if I wanted to 'watch him play X-BOX', my brother asks me to watch him all the time, and last night the boys were playing Toy Story 2 on playstation and would yell 'WATCH US' whenever I turned my eyes away from the TV to my magazine. WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN WATCHING YOU PLAY VIDEO GAMES. Are we not equal/good enough to PLAY THEM WITH YOU? Honestly, it's not that hard to press A heaps of times and press an up arrow to jump.
That said, when I tried COD I just kept throwing grenades at my head....

P.S. IT'S SO HOT

Day 7: How you came across Blogspot, and how your life has changed since joining
I came across Blogspot after reading/viewing The Satoralist, and investigating how to form my own blog. I started out just by posting photos that I had taken (go to my first couple of posts...it's funny how much the blog has changed). It's changed my life in the way that I can finally express my creativity through some form that others can read...it's like an outlet for my thoughts/opinions and it's the best form of intervention (by diverting me away from my Facebook addiction and making me write!).
GET A BLOG
DON'T DO DRUGS
EAT PORK BUNS
LIVE YOUR LIFE

I am now off to sit on babies (AKA babysitting). Need to money to:
1. Pay Tiasha back
2. Buy Cindy's shorts (the uber awesome ones she bought from Newtown that she has kindly offered to me...THANKS AGAIN CINDY)
3. Pay for common-room coffee machine (already a week overdue)
4. See the Social Network/buy pork buns

P.S. This song is one of those songs which gets better as it progresses....and the video stars JOSH HARTNETT!!!

Can you be violent and weak? Or just violent and strong? Hmmmm

Day 6: Which is your favourite season, and why?
My answer to this question is WITHOUT A DOUBT Summer. Fo Sho.
First of all, I am a Summer baby (born on the 23rd of Feburary). Despite this, I still have the freedom to love other seasons more, however Summer is still my favourite season for numerous reasons. The season of Summer is associated with the end of school, the beach, friends, Christmas and New Years Eve/New Years. It is a very festive season and for the most part also has a seemingly relaxed/happy atmosphere. Also also also, the fashion is Summer is so much cheaper, and if you wanted to you could just walk around in bikinis for days on end (unless of course, you are of the male gender).

That is all.

P.S. I LOVED LAST NIGHTS GLEE EPISODE! Blaine is such a great addition to the show, and I loved that being gay didn't necessarily define who he was, it was just one aspect of him. I thought that the episode sent a really powerful message to gay youth.

P.P.S The young man below is damn fineeeee

Neeeeed Cooffee-hhh

Day 5: What are your 3 favourite colours?
This is a question of the 'very, very dull' kind, however if you care enough about my answer to continue reading, then my three favourite colours are:
BLUE
BLACK
RED

You are probably saying 'OMG BLACK ISN'T A COLOUR'. Well, honey, black absorbs all frequencies of light in the visible spectrum producing the colour black. So there. Black.Blaaaaccccckkkkk.

Today was one of those really, really boring/dull days. I didn't have any money for a coffee, consquently sufferring coffee-withdrawal symptoms for the better part of the day. Despite my sulking, I am really enjoying the book I'm reading right now (Fateless), about a young boy at Auschwitz. It's really sad but beautifully written.

My agenda for the rest of this evening consists and consists only of:
WATCHING DARREN CRISS ON GLEEEEEEEEEEEEE
You may have seen him in A Very Potter Musical (if you live under a rock and consquently don't know who/what this is, click here). He's the guy singing in the Teenage Dream video I posted a couple of days ago. Droooooll. The episode BETTER BE GOOD BECAUSE I'M SKIPPING YOGA FOR IT!

I have the coolest little brother

He has called his new baby guinea pig Ziggy Stardust.

Day 4: Talk about your closest friend(s)
This question is really difficult to answer, as
A)I have numerous close friends
and
B) I wouldn't want to offend anyone

I used to not be able to say who my best friends were, but time has seen a few friendships endure fights/moving schools/growing up. My relationships with my friends are very much based on trust (.....I'm a tad too sensitive) and as it stands today I have around 5 really 'close friends'. They're of both sexes, and some of them I have known since I was 5 months old, others I only met in the past 2 years (but feel as though we've been friends the same length of time as the one's which whom I've been friends with since babies). It sounds cheesy but I'm seriously the luckiest girl in the world to have such amazing friends....I apologise if you just vomited due to my cheesiness.....BUT DEAL WITH IT. I HAVE COOL FRIENDS OK?

P.S. I was just thinking about The OC and thought about this song. It's a tad depressing/emo but I personally think it's a really beautiful song.

Hitting up the New Town

Day 3: What is your favourite TV Show?
Modern Family. No reasons needed. Maybe Glee aswell, however the storylines are becoming a tinsey bit bland...

Today was an above average day. Allow me to explain, my friends.
We selected Newtown to hang out as EVERY SINGLE TIME we go out together we always go to George Street Cinemas and then hang around that area. So today was an adventure.

We met at the station, then headed up, then down, then all around Newtown trying to find Doitao Thai. Getting lost inorder to find it was worth it. Before we ordered we all decided to be experimental and try a diverse range of dishes, however when the waitress came we all ordered Pad Thai (it's yummy ok?). For $10 each we all got a HUUUGGEE Pad Thai each and none of us could finish them so we are all having them for lunch tomorrow (nothing, I repeat, NOTHING beats leftover Pad Thai). At the restaurant I had a near-death experience of locking myself in the bathroom. I have been phsycologically scarred for life.

We then wandered around King Street and....wait for it....I BOUGHT A MAXI SKIRT! It was from Tree Of Life and had been reduced from $30 TO $8.75!!!! I could not believe my eyes. I had an embarrassing experience at the shop where I had previously tried on a necklace at the store and had forgotten to take it off, and had it on when I was buying my skirt and everything. No wonder I was getting wierd looks from the shop assistant.....well she shouldn't sneer at my stupidity as I overheard her telling another shop assistant how she ate a chilli thinking it was capsicum....

After my embarrassing experience had concluded, we walked around FOR EVER trying to find Black Star, a patissere which was written up in the Sydney Morning Herald as having the best chocolate eclairs in the whole of Sydney (under 'Food you must try in Sydney before you die'). We walked up the whole of Kings Street, asked people in shops where it was, to find out it was the opposite end. Finally arriving outside Black Star we realised that we had walked past it. TWICE. The chocolate eclairs there are TO DIE FOR (I'm not joking). Instead of cream inside, it's CHOCOLATE MOUSSE. It's a hefty $4.50 but it is TOTALLY worth it. Droooooooooolll. They do good really good coffee too.

There is a really cute boutique next to Black Star where Cindy bought a pair of Levi high waisted shorts for $29!!!! I was talked out of buying a pair of reading glasses (they were only $15), but I WANTED THEM SO MUCH because they made me look so intelligent. So intelligent.

We then bought Nina's Chocolates (I got a Pink Flamingo) and caught the train home. The End.

Oh and I bought the black knee-high socks on my wishlist (and I bought some grey frilly ones too), so now I need to get the tights on the girl below! When I get more money, of course....

P.S. HAPPY 7/11 DAY! I got my free slurpee :)
P.P.S. Darren Criss in Glee: Kurt's future boyfriend? Even if he isn't I LOVE HIM IN THIS SONG!

Punk.

Day 2: Talk about your piercings/tattoos if you have any
I only have the usual, unorigional piercings (i.e. one on each ear). Growing up, Mum always said that I could only get my ears pierced when I turned 16, so for numerous years in primary school I was lame enough to wear stick on earrings out of Total Girl Magazine to hide my embarrassing, shameful non-pierced ears from my friends. THE STORY DOES NOT END HERE, MY FRIENDS.
Then came along the State Athletics Carnival in year 5. You may be thinking one of the following things:
1. What has an athletics carnival got to do with piercings?
2. Is she trying to change the subject to divert the attention away from her unperceived ears?
WELL, basically Mum said that if my relay team made it to the State Final I could get my ears pierced (she obviously had NO faith in me WHATSOEVER, or maybe she thought telling me this would make me run faster...which it did). I MADE IT INTO THE FINAL. So there you have it folks, the tale of me getting two holes in my ears.

On the subject of piercings, piercings (and tattoos) on guys is SUCH a turn off. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Here is a tip for the guys of the world- TAKE YOUR PIERCINGS OUT AND LET THEM CLOSE UP. You don't have to take my advice cause of 'freedom' and everything, but hey, it's for your own benefit.

P.S. I want one of those lamps which when turned on project stars everywhere. If anyone has one I want it.

WOOOOOOOOO I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL HARRY POTTER 7 PART ONE
Now I think about it I should get off my lazy ass and by some tickets.....

The 30 Day Challenge: Day 1

And I'll actually do it.

Day One: Your middle name, and how you feel about it.
I've always secretly loved my middle name, hence the name of my blog. I think Chloe Annabelle flows like first and middle names should. The End. Cool story Hansel! (Sorry, Zoolander reference...had to do it).

Today was an above average day.
To begin with, whilst buying my coffee (from the gorgeous couple at Central who call me their 'baby' and give me free coffees) , she gave me a Lindt chocolate bar and told me to 'tell my parents how much she spoils me with chocolate and coffee'. Naw.

At school I got on top of work and had a meeting with my Extension 2 English mentor and WE OFFICIALLY KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. My concept has completely changed since my first meeting with her all those weeks ago, AND I'M LOVIN' IT! Can't wait to start writing it- my logbook already has heaps in it so I may as well begin writing it this weekend!

Chloe's ToDo List: The Weekend Edition
1. Read 'Fateless', 'Evil' aswell as history booklets/drama booklets/english booklets
2. Attempt to start writing my drama monologue
3. EXCERCISE and attempt to recreate some yoga moves at home from my class
4. Babysit Nina from 5-12 (and think of stuff to do whilst babysitting....)
5. Go to Doi Tao Thai on Sunday and CHILLAX FOR ONCE
6. Complete chapter 2 legal notes
7. Finish modern history notes
8. Complete Ext. 1 English homework

So there you have it folks, there's my very interesting life for you. Hope you had an enjoyable time reading through that list and scoffing at how much awesomer your weekend is. GO AWAY.

Actually, don't go away. I have some pretty photos to show you. And a cute song that you may or may not have heard from the Where The Wild Things Are trailer....
P.S. I want these shoes. They're like Dorothy's ruby slippers on steroids.

The train series Part 2: Lads on a train

I have had many enjoyable (and twice as many non-enjoyable) experiences on trains. Allow me to share a highlight of my 'enjoyable train experiences' file in my brain. Two days ago I was on the way home from seeing a play, seated by myself on one of those semi-decent country trains. Two tough looking Islander teenage guys walked on board and sat down on the seats about 3 rows ahead of me.

I was desperately attempting to finish reading a book for English, however my mind drifted over to their conversation. It was so enjoyable/amusing/insightful to listen to. They were talking about girls. Being the investigator/stalker I am, I grabbed out a notebook and began to write down a bit of the dialogue. I was a bit disappointed as I missed out on the majority of the conversation due to my reading however I did manage to catch the last of it.

[In a tough, 'Laddish' voice]
Boy 1: ...yeah. You've got to like, acknowledge them [girls].
Boy 2: Yeah....acknowledge them.
Boy 1: I've learnt that they really like it when you're talking to your mates and you turn around to them and say 'oh hi! Didn't see you there!'
Boy 2: Yeah...you've got to ease up to them. But like, don't become their best friends or anything
Boy 2: True...you have to stay mysterious

As you can imagine, I was trying to hold in my laughs. I was giggling partially because of that they were saying (...stay mysterious?) and partially due to the fact that they looked SO tough in their singlets, cargo shorts and Nikeys. It's nice to know that even though a lot of people put on 'tough' masks, acting as though they could kill a kitten, deep down they still have a soft and romantic side.
P.S. My image uploader is once again working, so as a celebration I posted a photo of a very decent looking young man

P.P.S. I think I just found the best/cutest Halloween costume. EVER.
