When I get a credit card, i'm going to need to be handcuffed to a tree deep in the forests of Albania to stop me going on this site. If I had the money, I would seriously buy every single thing on this site and consequently blow all my money and go into a million and one dollars debt. My obsessions on the heavenly site at present:

Macaroons

I saw these wonderful pieces of food on Masterchef, where the contestants tried (and failed, although I can't talk being the hopeless cook I am) to make a macaroon tower. This challenge made me have an epiphany.
I LOVE MACAROONS!
Not the ones on Masterchef (they were olive flavoured), but chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ones. I never thought I would say this but:
OMNOMNOMNOM


Here is a simple recipe for these heavenly delicacies for non-cooking types like me, who are better at eating the products of cooking than cooking them:

CHOCOLATE MACAROONS
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cups butter
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup milk
3 cups oatmeal
6 tsp cocoa

1. Melt butter and cocoa first (that way its smooth). Add milk and sugar.
2.Bring to boil over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add coconut and oatmeal.
3.Drop by tablespoonfuls onto wax paper and leave to cool.

Enjoy!

The Spirit of Youth

Teenage rebellion comes alive in Billy Kidd’s recent portraits starring Hailey Clauson. I love how she looks so natural: her hair not done, not smothered in make-up, and in a basic white top and denim shorts. I think Billy Kidd has done a perfect job of capturing the emotions of being a teenager through these portraits. There are over 10 photos; I tried to choose my favourites but I loved all of them so I posted all of them!

P.S. I want her shorts, the ones with the pockets coming out the bottom? Me want.

HOLIDAYS

Around two days after Dad left for overseas,
THE INTERNET BROKE DOWN! Worst. Week. Of. My. Life. However, due to this lack of internet communication (i.e Facebook and Blogspot)I actually found my self having nothing else to do but school work! In between school work though I began re-reading the 7th Harry Potter Book, coinciding with the release of the trailer for the 7th MOVIE. I swear, the 7th Harry Potter book is not just a book. Its pure GENI-USSS!

Also, I checked out Eclipse, and for Twilight Saga standards, it was pretty good. The movie actually had a story line, and the characterizations were significantly improved. The special effects were pretty sweet as well. Oh, and Taylor Lautner is really, really, really x1000 sexy. Just sayin'

So Dad came back from America, which had me and the rest of the fam waking up at 5.30 to meet him at the airport...and to find out someone had died on his flight! All sadness aside, while waiting for him to arrive, it was so nice to watch the reactions from all the other families and couples and friends! It was just like the beginning of Love Actually...a little less dramatic though but cute all the same.

Then DAD came out, luggage in tow, and after a coffee at Edmunds and Greer, we came home where we all got AWESOME PREZZIES from the US OF A! Mum got pretty spoilt...MAC makeup, Chanel Perfume and a Tiffany and Co Bangle from South Coast Plaze in the OC...I got really awesome clothes from Forever 21 (My FAVE store over there) and lots and lots of Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, which, and to my horror, I ate ALL of them yesterday...

Life is pretty sweet- holidays are oh so close. Dad is coming back from LA with tonnes of candy, and then me and the fam are heading off to Dubbo for a week away...after holidays though, it's back to reality. Yiew.

I WANT TO TRAVEL.

But I to do this I need a job, and to do that I need to stop sitting around on my ass and actually DO SOMETHING.

Emma Watson deserves to die. At school, I made up a list of why she does not deserve to exist in this world any longer.
1. She is gorgeous
2. She is rich (highest paid star in Hollywood 2009)
3. Face of Chanel and Burberry (and is BFFLs with Karl Lagerfield)
4. She is Hermoine Granger, and in the greatest movies OF ALL TIME
5. She is at an IVY LEAGUE UNIVERSITY, and not even because she wants a job in that field, it's because she's doing it for fun
6. Has AMAZING CLOTHES! Even though I she deserves to die, I will admit that her taste in fashion deserves an applause
7. Grew up in Paris
8. Is BFFLS with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint
9. Has amazing hair

and finally, number 10, the key reason why she deserves to die:
10. SHE IS GOING OUT WITH GEORGE CRAIG! (if you are so behind in the times as to be unaware of who George Craig is, please refer to the blog post George Craig). Emma Watson could go out with any guy and out of all the fish in the pond she chooses my future husband. Smooth, Emma, REAAALL SMOOTTH

Oh, and they went together to GLASTO FESTIVAL. Yeah, the awesomest festival in the world in England, where I always talk of going when I eventually finish school. Emma Waton is officially ticking of my to-do list before I die. With style.

I do hate her, but her fashion really is amazing. To Glasto Festival, she managed to team a Louis Vuitton corset with denim shorts and the traditional Glasto Festival gumboots without looking like freak, she actually managed to fit in with the Glasto crowd.

Unlike many people, I AM SO EXCITED for Julia Gillard as the new Prime Minister. We need change and a leader who is not all talk and actually keeps their promises. Although Kevin Rudd did save our economy and make it healthy again, Julia Gillard will actually (well, hopefully) bring the Labour Party back to actually being LABOUR, not some odd mesh of the two. It was so exciting to be watching the news live of the smartboard and to actually be part of history, seeing Australia's first female Prime Minister go to office. This day opens up so many opportunities for all females in not only our generation, but future generations to come.


I guess I am happy with anyone as our leader who isn't Tony Abbott, who is uptight, right wing, homophobic, conservative and who SHOULD NEVER be Prime Minister. If he wins the next election, I am moving countries. Just saying.
