It's a Beautiful Day

So basically I spent today lying in the sun, trying and failing to tan, writing and half-memorising an essay, watching countless videos of Muse performing at this year's Glastonbury Festival, and trawling and drooling over the Top Shop website. My special friend Eleni is heading over to Europe (yes, I am SO jealous!), and said that I could put together a little Top Shop wishlist. After my stalking of the website, let's just say that I am going to give her ALL THE MONEY I HAVE to spend at the store.

I found this photo and was very proud due to the fact that I wore that cat mask to a masquerade party.

HOW COOL IS THAT!?

During my period of procrastination today, I also became obsessed with a new Tumblr- www.tuula.tumblr.com. I tried to hyperlink it to the website but it won't cooperate, to just copy and paste the website into your search engine. Basically it's a girl traveling to all the places I want to travel to, and taking lots and lots of photos wherever she goes. And the photos are really, really amazing. Go on it! NOW!
Here are some of my favourite photos on the blog, when she was in Croatia and Paris:

Just Breathe.

"I know a place that we've forgotten
A place we won't get caught in
They won't know who we are
I know a place where we can hide out
And turn our hearts inside out
They won't know who we are"

OH HURRO!

ALOT HAS HAPPENED SINCE I LAST POSTED. I HAVE WRITTEN IN CAPITALS DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM NOW A PROUD OWNER OF A U2 MOSH TICKET. . Oh, and my exams have started.

Basically today I had my advanced english Othello oral- my friend Jem and I had to talk about a certain aspect of the play for 8 WHOLE PAINFUL MINUTES. There were 3 questions we had to prepare for, and when we got inside the markers would choose the one for us to do. Jem and I didn't want to get Question 1. It was doom. We could only talk about it for around 3 minutes. I called it the Question Of Doom. I began to think about what I would do if we walked into the room and got Question 1 (such as making myself faint/vomit/slit my throat).

We got Question 1. Fate/Karma hates me.

I then ran home in preparation for U2 tickets. They were going onsale at 1:00 pm, and at 12:59 my sister Phoebe refreshed the page. It did not load. Alot of gasping and swearing took place. Then it loaded. We got onto the page to buy tickets, and there were mosh tickets still avaliable. Phoebe clicked to buy them, only to find out that we forgot to log in as my Dad. More swearing/gasping/kicking the table took place. We then logged in AND GOT TICKETS! WOOOOOOO!
I am posting the following video to make you jealous that I am going. Sorry.

So there you have it folks, the U2 360 Tour to which I HAVE A TICKET.
Moving on, I am MCLOVING THIS WARM WEATHER (for the millionth time). Beach/Pools:Here I come.

OH OH OH! I want to kidnap Alexa Chung and proceed to steal all of her clothes and place them in my wardrobe. Please don't tell anyone. It's a secret :)

PE.ESS. Even though her life sucks in terms of being followed around by the papparazi 24/7, she's got NOTHING to complain about in relation to guys. Enough said. The guy in that photo is Douglas Booth, who is a British model/actor who I blogged about ages ago before he got famous (he has shot to fame since he landed a movie role in a new movie with Miley Cyrus which is what they're filming here).

This ad for Mother (the energy drink) came on before Tomorrow When The War Began. So. Funny.

P.P.S
Christopher Kane's latest collection = DROOOOOOOOOOOLL and a half multiplied by Droooooooll squared. I.e. LOVE IT

HURRO

Boy did I miss pressing that 'New Post' button. I have had SO MUCH work to do and so little time that I haven't been on here for a while. Not much has happened since my last post, depressingly enough.

SAW Tomorrow When The War Began and loved it. I have never read the books, but my friends who have read them loved it aswell. The script and acting is great (except for the actor who plays Lee who is actually TERRIBLE), and the film in beautifully shot. It's great that the Australian Film Industry is finally getting a chance to produce a big-budget franchise-potential film.

LOVE Urban Outfitters. I've known about them for a while but never really bothered to check out their stuff. Went on their website. Life changed. Also, open a new tab and type in Melissa Shoes Australia. You too will have your life changed.

I want more shorts. Only after I loose a pair do I realise how much I really do love shorts. I WANT MORE SHORTS. AND MORE MONEY TO BUY SAID SHORTS.

I want to upload more photos but my computer is currently refusing to cooperate with my wish. So i'll do it tomorrow (Like my yearly exam study)

Toodaloo!

Got Calculus test back. Not too good.
Saw model Samantha Harris as the new model of Seafolly. Yeah.
OK SHE IS PRETTY. Yes. Samantha Harris is gorgeous. If you don't know who she is, she is the Indigenous model who is dubbed the Next Big Thing (you would have seen her on the cover of Vogue Australia). So we have established that the girl is pretty. However, she does not make a good model. Just because a girl is gorgeous doesn't mean she makes a good model. Another figure who falls into this category is Emma Watson (look at her photo shoots- pulls the same face in every single photo). Now I understand and support the fact that the fashion industry is trying to steer away from thin, blond, tall and skinny models, and are going for diverse looks (did you see the Bond's runway at the most recent fashion week? All the girls were so unique-loved it). I also applaud Vogue for putting the first Indigenous model on the cover. Samantha Harris looks different to these blonde, tall, skinny models, so she is guaranteed to be a success. But she pulls the SAME (although pretty) FACE in EVERY SINGLE PHOTO. Here is sufficient evidence:

Boorriinnggg. PULL SOME MORE FACES GIRL!
Do you get my point now?
P.S. I want some more bandeaus like the ones below to wear with shorts as the weather gets warmer.

Couldn't get it out of my head today. Never grows old :)

You should not be reading this. Why? You ask as you continue reading, despite me just telling you that you should not be reading this. BECAUSE THERE IS SUN OUTSIDE. THAT'S WHY. Go outside into THE REAL WORLD and enjoy the summer-esque weather before the notorious rain-clouds once again swarm the sky and gives us colds. GO NOW.

If you have chosen to remain a cyberspace civilian for the time being, I can tell you that the university open days were really informative/interesting. I got off the train at Central and walked to UTS, where I got handed a FREE Vitamin Water (by the end of the day I was a pro at scabbing more-than-necessary free products), and walked inside. Inside is alot, and when I say a alot I MEAN ALOT, nicer than the outside. It's very city-office building like....BUT SYDNEY UNI IS JUST SO...so....pretty.. I expected Harry Potter to pop out at any given moment as everything looks just like Hogwarts. I spent about an hour and a half trying to locate the Business/Economics faculty. Unsuccessful. Walked everywhere. Asked 4 Sydney Uni people. Still couldn't find it. But the law building at Sydney Uni is seriously amazing. Google it.

My to-do list is fairly large in size right now. Here are my tasks under the 'To Buy' section.
1. A headband like this. At the moment I only have really thin ones which give me headaches.

2. A cropped-top with beads, to wear under the Bonds Tuba Bra (the new ones which are designed to be worn with nothing on top, like a top its self).

3. More rings. In particular, a ring with a peace sign on it like on the middle finger of the right hand in the picture below.

4. A plain white dress and a belt (preferably black or brown).

4. An armband/bracelet.

So there you have it, folks. Chloe's To Do List's To Buy List.
Now for some pretty photos. Theme: locations

OK SO I'M REALLY TIRED (see sentence in previous post 'I have been deprived of coffee for the week'). No coffee=tiredness. Coffee=best friend. Me need coffee. Now.

I am currently reading Cloud Street by Tim Winton. It is so amazing, that if you haven't read it I suggest, no, I COMMAND you to run to the nearest library/bookshop and get it. You will not regret disturbing your relaxing evening for a run out in the cold wind. SERIOUSLY. No, seriously. Do it. Now.

Due to my tiredness/lazyness, I cannot be bothered to write anymore. Here are some really, really wise words of wisdom. Please do not be blown away by my wise words:

When I grow up I want a bed like this. In a room like this. I.e a bed that takes up a whole room.

I saw photos from the Bonds show at the fashion week (to tired to remember which one...think it's Rosemount?) Loved it so much I thought i'd post a photo of it. Instead of death-staring anorexic girls they had girls dancing down the runway!

These ducklings are cute. I want them. In my sink. Please?

The following photos either amuse me/remind me of a place or memory or both/agree with/want (i.e. the clothes)/or just love. Me going to bed now. Bye.

HELLO THERE

HELLO THERE (see above). Hope your windy day went well. I have been deprived of coffee for the week due to my amount of money in my wallet, or should I say, the lack thereof. This issue constantly provokes me to think 'should I get off my lazy ass and get a job?', but of course, I do not get off my lazy ass and get a job. So here I am waiting impatiently until Saturday morning when I will get my pocket money. Which, of course, will all go down the drain at the Sydney University open day. But apparently they do very, very good coffee. So we'll see.

The coming of the Sydney University Open Day and hearing Carmen Lu speak at school (the girl who went to my school who got into Harvard, Princeton and Yale), has caused me to ponder something horrific. Something so incredibly terrifying and disastrous that my lips begin to quiver as if the Grim Reaper himself is lurking around the corner.
I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT MY FUTURE..
In response to this thought, I grabbed a note pad off the pile which of diaries which I promise myself to begin writing in but never get around to it, and began scribbling down potential career paths. Let's just say that there were a lot of words on this page. Then I had the epiphany:
Chloe, why not you get into the highest paying job you can, then retire young and live happily every after.?.
YES I KNOW that it seems very idealistic, however it is possible. So unless I don't get into Arts/Law at Sydney University (or anywhere in the States), I AM GOING TO DO BUSINESS. Seriously. Don't know what sector yet...advertising...hedge-fund management...we'll see...

For now I'll enjoy being an immature 16 year old. OH! I nearly forgot to say. I want to die the tips of my hair blue. Don't know how, don't know when, BUT I WANT TO OK? Even if I never do it, I just enjoy saying that I plan to die the tips of my hair blue.
Like this:

My train was cancelled this afternoon. I was so hungry that I honestly began to whether it's possible for a stomach to eat itself. Turns out it can't. As I was waiting for TWENTY WHOLE MINTUES on the platform, my mind raced back to a photo I found a couple of days ago. It did not ease my hunger.

So now I have arrived home, literally stuffed my face with food, and am now about to finish my modern history individual project. Laters!
