The moment when you feel that the only person who understands you is Charlie Sheen...

These exams are nearly over, and I confirm that:
1)They have driven me to the brink of insanity...jks....but seriously....
2)In exams I now write so fast that I don't even bother finishing words, leaving it to the markers to finish off my words
3)It takes basically nothing to make me laugh. I now often find myself laughing at silence, and laughing at the fans in the common room. Yes, fans.
4)Up&Gos are the way to go...second to coffee however. I turned up at the bus stop after hardly any sleep with a coffee, and the bus-stop-lady-officer (the best way to describe her) said to me 'no coffee allowed on the bus'. I just gave her the 'I am in year 12 and am in exams right now, I need coffee to survive and pass said exams, let me on the bus with my coffee or I'll kill you' look and she let me on. Problem solved.
5)These exams have worn me out. It's going to take A LOT of sleep (and watching Skins) to get me back to normal.

Here are some things which have come out of my/friends' mouths this exam period:
1. In response to Phoebe's hole in her school shoe 'When it gets rainy it'll get puddled"
2. 'If there's only one samosa left I get it' 'Ok...I'll have naan then. Get it. Naan'
3. 'It's so hot in here'  'Yeah, it's an intellectual sauna'
4. 'Can you believe, that like, this time last week, like, Japan was normal and stuff?'
5. 'These exams have made me feel numb. I can't feel emotions anymore'
6. 'I don't have time to watch Glee anymore so I read the summaries on the internet'

My last exam is my Extension 2 English viva-voce, which goes for 15 minutes starting at 9.40am. Everyone please have a minute silence at this point in time to pay respect to what I will be enduring at this point in time.  I will then catch a bus to Coogee beach with Palto Alto (best book ever....yes, it's written by James Franco), buy a juice from the place next to Chish and Fips and then lie in the sun (it better be sunny) and swim until late afternoon. I will then come home and watch Skins until 7am the next morning. Can't wait.

ONLY 3 EXAMS TO GOOOO

I have two things to tell you today:
1. My heart goes out to everyone in Japan right now. It's so devastating to see that footage on the news..I just wish I could do something to help.
2. I was paying for my coffee and macaroons at Edmunds and Greer yesterday, where I had been dining with Eleni, and I glanced around the room to see where Phoebe had gone. To my absolute horror, it turns out that my Modern History teacher had been sitting at a table opposite us the entire time with a group of her friends. The worst part was that I really needed to go over to her and ask for feed back on my essay....

Just some house-keeping shiz before I rush off to memorise an essay on the Bolshevik's consolidation of power:
1. I've enabled commenting again. I blocked it a while ago for no particular reason, so now if you feel like telling me something, disagreeing with me, agreeing with me or telling me something random like 'Fluro peas like to sing off frozen newspapers',then just leave a comment.
2. Keep checking my Tumblr! The links at the top and when I find pretty pictures I post them there, rather than here, because an influx of pictures here is probably annoying for you guys.
3. TO ALL MY POTENTIAL PEN PALS, I'm so sorry, I keep forgetting to check my Hotmail. When my exams are over I'll actually go through the emails and write letters! Send me another email just in case!

P.S.I WANT THIS DRESS FHESKJDFJSFSD
P.p.s. This image made me stop and think for a bit. I hope it has the same effect on you.

WOW.

So I just dug out my good old journal, and it only occured to me now that I've been writting in it since I was 12. For the first time, instead of just flipping through to a new page and writing a new entry like I usually do, I took the time to actually read the journal from the very first page, to the end of my last entry. It was incredible to actually see how much I've changed since I was 12. I was actually speechless (for once in my life....). I find that writing in a journal makes you feel better about stuff that's going on- sounds stupid and simple but it's true. Just writing thoughts down on paper can make things which seem like a big deal in your head seem insignificant and kind of pathetic and petty in a way. It's also great to look at moments in your past when you felt like there wasn't really a light at the end of the tunnel, then continuing on to read later posts where everything is ok again, highlighting that things always work out and can have a happy ending. I wrote 7 pages this afternoon, writing down every last thing on my mind, and I feel like 18 bricks have been lifted off my chest. It's weird because I write down my thoughts here on my blog, but I can't write everything because I know that people who are in my thoughts read it, so I guess my blog is reserved for my more 'superficial' thoughts!

THINGS I WANT TO TELL/RANT TO YOU ABOUT TODAY:
  • It occured to me last night that if Mum and Dad pay me pocket money on a weekly basis, then technically they're employing me to be their daughter and do chores. They pay me $20 a week, far below the minimum wage, thus promoting slave labour. WE'RE ALL SLAVES TO OUR PARENTS PEOPLE!!...jks....but seriously....
  • I saw my favourite person (SARCASAM) Jessica Watson on the news last night, telling us all how she's attempting to break a new record. All she's really showing to me is that she's worried that her attention is dying down. What's her new record attempt? To be an even bigger famewhore than she was before? Just when we thought we heard the last of her!
  • I was walking down a street today and someone was walking in front of me smoking, me having to walk into the smoke. Now I know this happens all the time but today it just really pissed me off. JUST BECAUSE you are stupid enough to pay $4000 a year on suicide sticks, doesn't mean THAT I WANT TO DIE TOO. I LIKE MY LIFE OK. DON'T TAKE ME DOWN WITH THE SHIP. They really need to separate the streets so that the people who don't want to die of lung cancer DON'T HAVE TO DIE OF LUNG CANCER. Enough said.
  • I love Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment. I'm a tad obsessed, and whenever I find myself not doing anything, I apply it to my lips. Cool story bro
  • GLASS HOUSE CANDLES ARE THE BOMB DIGGITY. Mum brought home the big Coconut-Lime one and it smells absolutely amazing, which is significant due to me usually hating scented candles.
  • I was such a hit at my brother's baseball game today. I started hitting a ball against a wall and by the time the game was over I had about 12 kids playing with me. Yeah I'm cool like dat.

I'm really close tonight
And I feel like I'm moving inside her
Lying in the dark
And I think that I'm beginning to know her
Let it go
I'll be there when you call
And whenever I fall at your feet
Do you let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain

You're hiding from me now
There's something in the way that you're talkin’
Words don't sound right
But I hear them all moving inside you
Go now
I'll be there when you call
And whenever I fall at your feet
Do you let your tears rain down on me
Whenever I touch your slow turning pain

The finger of blame has turned upon itself
And I'm more than willing to offer myself
Do you want my presence or need my help?
Who knows where that might lead
I fall

The finger of blame has turned upon itself
And I'm more than willing to offer myself
Do you want my presence or need my help?
Who knows where that might lead
I fall at your feet

The awkward moment....

When I officially rename my new phone 'Eva', due to the fact that she looks like Eva from Wall-E, me realising this after I named her Belle. Yes, I am quite aware that that was a long sentence. And the fact that 'alot' is not a word (in regards to all your comments after I made the fatal error a couple of blog posts ago!).

My drama exam was today, and now I have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND until Modern History. I'm making myself go to school to study despite having no exams/class due to the fact that home=100000 distractions inside a building. At home, no matter how hard I try to stay focused, I ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS end up in my bed, tea next to me, listening to Phoenix and Muse whilst pointlessly trawling the internet. The only problem with studying at school is that I always find myself drinking chocolate Up&Gos which I buy from the canteen for only TWO DOLLARS. Good price. Not good when you buy 3 a day, throughout the whole exam period.

I really, really want to do this to my nails when exams are over.

When life gets tough, think of Schoolies.

I just sneezed. Twice.

AUTUMN IS HERE PEOPLE.

So I have a number of things I realised today:
  • Flowers are so pretty. I walk past a florist at Central every morning and today it smelt so good that I just stopped and stood outside it like a bit of a lunatic (this is what exams do to you). The flowers all looked so pretty and fresh that I was 99% certain I was going to buy a bunch for one of my friends for no reason other than the fact that I felt like buying a bunch of flowers for someone. I got out my wallet, counted my coins to find that I had $2.70. That's exactly how much a coffee is. Bought coffee instead.
  • I'm actually weirdly obsessed with my new phone. I touch it all the time because it's so pretty. My friend Arielle described it as looking like a 'giant tamagotchi'. So. True. I've called here Belle.
  • Legal Studies exams are not fun. Especially when there's two multiple choice questions with every single choice wrong. Awkies.
  • After a conversation with my friend Louise, I decided that one of my life goals is to get the Transatlantic accent. In order to do so, I need a house in New York and a house in London so I can travel between the two. Better start saving now....
  • I really don't want to get the mark back for the essay I wrote yesterday in English. There was an audio recording that we had to listen to in the exam then use it as a second related text, along with our core text. They played the audio twice, during which we had to write as much down about it as possible to use in our essay. The first time we listened to it, I completely missed her name because she said it so fast. The second time round, I braced myself for when she said her name, pen in hand, then completely missed it again. I heard an 'S' in it so I called her Sternberg throughout my essay. After talking to my teacher afterwards, it turns out her name was Esther. Oops.
  • Carol is amazing for finding the elephant jumper on the internet for me! Wooooo!
  • I'm actually considering getting purple tips instead of blue. Thoughts?
I also really want to wear lot's of bright colours this Autumn/Winter. Methinks I need these boots?

Day 31: Your highs and lows of the past monthI can't really list my 'highs and lows' and you guys already know all of them from my posts from the last month! I would say my real 'high' was my birthday, and my 'low' was my little melt-down which was due to a combination of factors. Basically the whole of last week was a bit of an FML week. The past 4 weeks have been relatively stressful (leading up to exams and such), so there weren't particularly any 'extreme highs'. The month following my exams is going to be sweeeeeet!.
Now stop reading this, click the cross on the top right-hand corner of your screen, and LET ME CONTINUE TO MEMORISE MY ESSAY. Oh, and ask me a Formspring question. Speaking of Formspring, I got one the other day which simply said 'Your blog is shit'.  I was a bit over tired and began to think that maybe I should just stop this blog. Then I realised that one day I'll have something to rant about and want to express my opinion to someone and I'll think to myself that I could have done that on my blog. Because you all are good listeners. So it looks like I'm staying. Yes, you have to continue putting up with me.

Sha bo da ba

I bought a pen off a 'charity' man today. He came up to me at the bus stop and simply said 'I work for a charity, would you like to buy a pen?'. I bought a pen out of sympathy, and as he walked away it dawned on me that he most likely didn't work for a charity and instead was a man who liked to sell 'charity' pens to vulnerable school girls to fund his cigarettes.

I went on the website on the pen this afternoon, waiting for a page to come up saying 'this page does not exist'. However, a website came up and it looks as though the proceeds from my pen went to a good cause! If some a man comes up to you at Central saying 'Hello I work for a charity would you like to buy a pen' buy it! It's a charity called Lend A Shoulder. MORAL OF THE STORY: Buy pens of strangers!

P.S. I WANT THIS JUMPER
P.P.S. I think we can all agree that this is the best line in Tropic Thunder. Aaahhh so good.

*31 day challenge

So I'm up to question 30 and there's still one question to go...must have mixed up the question numbers somewhere! Oopsidaise. I have officially renamed this the 31 Day Challenge

Day 30: Your goals for the next 30 days
  • Be satisfied by the results that I get from these up-coming exams. I really want my marks to be consistent throughout the year and I know that if I get bad-ish marks this exam period it won't be all that inspirational/motivating. Good marks will let me know that I'm doing the right thing
  • Sort out my love life. Yes, I sound like a drama queen.
So basically, in the 4 days since I've written, I have:
  • Had two melt-downs. I hadn't cried in over a year but all the pressure/expectations eventually got to me and I kind of broke-down for a little while. Turns out people weren't shit talking when they said the HSC year is alot of work. Awesome friends who put up with my whining help me through those major FML moments.
  • Have gone to the library every afternoon until 6.30. PRODUCTIVENESS
  • Finished my History and Memory essay...don't think it took me long enough....
  • Half-memorised my belonging creative
  • Went to every Optus store in the CBD and at every single one the phone I want to buy was sold out. Woot.
  • Set to work on an abusive letter to City Rail/State Transit/Minister for Transport asking ask to why we can't use our train-passes at the stations in between the two stations listed on our passes. So because of this stupid system, I have to pay for a ticket every afternoon that I want to go to the library. I would much rather be spending that money on coffee.
I don't know about you but, looking back on recent posts, the closer to exams I've gotten the more depressing the content has become. This made me realise that I use this blog as a sort of intervention, and from that thought came the realisation that if you read every blog post back to when I first started it, you would know ALOT, and when I say ALOT I mean ALOT about me. If you don't like reading about my feelings then feel free to stop following this blog whenever you like, and if you want to stay on board HEEELLOOOO! For you strangers who read this blog and feel as if you kind of know me from reading all about my pathetic feelings and thoughts about life....I'M COOLER IN REAL LIFE. PROMISE. *crickets*

Goodnight my minions X

Everything is Everything

Day 29: Something that you miss
The Summer holidays....I didn't really know what year 12 was going to throw at me, and all that mattered was what time I was going to walk to Edmunds and Greer the next day, or what movie to see....

This is me avoiding finishing doing my essay on post modernism. You shouldn't be reading this due to the fact that lots of page views=me writing more=not doing work.
The highlight of yesterday was my night out on the town. I went to a Spanish restaurant with a couple of friends and the amazing food, music and dancing made me want to live in Spain!
Also also also, the artist outside the QVB who sells all those drawings in black pens proposed to me. What of it.

I heard a story that officially made my week. My friend was at a library and a guy wrote down the name to a blog and told him to look it up. My friend Googled it when he got home and it turns out it was THIS BLOG! A MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO THAT AWESOME GUY. Let's get married and have cute little babies...jks...but seriously. Formspring me your name at least!

My exams begin next week so please don't expect that much from me! I'll post what I promised to post yesterday later but apart from that please encourage my studies! I HATE YEAR 12. ZOMGHOMG.

Friday, February 25, 2011

Yeah, I post a lot of Phoenix. What of it. JUST SHUTUP AND LISTEN.

This is one of those songs which just has such a great chorus. This is one of those songs is a happy-feeling-generator. LAST PHOENIX SONG- I PINKY PROMISE!

Yar.

Day 28: A problem that you have had.
My essay on Post-modernism.....guess what I'm spending Saturday doing?

Today we had this psychologist come and talk to our grade about stress-relief. Most girls found it pointless but I found it so useful! She basically emphasized that it's not the situation itself that makes you stressed but how you deal with it/what you think to yourself about it. Positive thoughts FTW!

This weekend shouldn't be too bad. I was supposed to babysit tonight but they called up to cancel soooo tonight will be a nice night with my tea, fairy lights and double bed. Oh and answering Formspring questions...shoooo much fun. The only abuse I've gotten was basically saying that I'm a 'judgmental bitch'....I laughed out-loud (LOLEEEEEDD) for two reasons:
1. Soooo ironic
2. I know who the person is...this just shows that I'm rarely judgmental in the first place to know who it was! Harrr haarrr haaarrrr...

On Sunday I'm going to the Museum of Contemporary Art to watch my friend James play at a night for youth. Tres excited, however have no idea as to what to wear....the theme is neon. Better start going through my wardrobe now.

Tomorrow I'm posting two things:
1. You know how I did the 'ideal boyfriend age guide' a couple of months ago? I've got a new one but from the guys perspective and their ideal ages for girlfriends...it's so different!
2. Cindy, Kuan and I separated guys into 4 catagories and we wrote the respective characteristics for each catagory...it was a pretty hilarious process.

P.s. I lurvvee this quote. Fanks Picasso.

P.p.s. This song is great. Not just because it's Phoenix. It makes me happy. I guess every Phoenix song makes me happy.

Thursday, February 24, 2011

Day 27: What kind of person attracts you?
Here are a couple of characteristics that I find attractive in ONE SENTENCE :0
A great deal of confidence has a sense of humour, able to laugh at themselves, ability to bitch (or listen to me bitch), intelligent, cute smile, can't be short (sorry but it's true) , treats girls nicely, wears a scarf in Winter, same values (not same opinions though because I like arguing), romantic but not cheesy, cute, not wannabe indie, well-dressed, drinks coffee (this is negotiatble), doesn't have mullet/rattie/tattos, similar aspirations/goals in life, gives good hugs, has cute hair, can cook well, has a certain sex appeal, able to be an active participant in deep conversations about the meaning or life, or conversations about nothing at all, no facial hair unless it looks sexy, can debate, is just an interesting character, is little bit weird, appreciates education, doesn't think they're awesome, doesn't use pick up lines unless used in an ironic manner, doesn't smoke, can speak abit/all of another language, has alot in common with me, able to teach me things/random bits of information, and is honest.

SOOOOO LLIKKEEEE IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY.
Twas the best ever. I woke up to a huge cooked breakfast with the largest bunch of flowers I've ever seen, opened all my presents from Mum and Dad (loads of stuff to pimp out my room with...you should SEE my bed now), little brother gave me a mega nerf-gun, went to the swimming carnival where I got spoilt by friends (I even had a song written for me...love you Clare), sung songs all day, was driven by Kuan to Coogee with Cindy and Phebus, drank yummy juices in a boat talking about how we resemble characters in Ice Age, went home and liked AND REPLIED to every Facebook birthday message, had a shower where there was no conditioner, got in the car, went to a water-front place for dinner, my uncle from Geneva came, got spoilt again by extended family, went home, replied to more FB messages, went to sleep in my pimped-out bed. I'm getting a new phone tomorrow with some of the money I got....I'll keep you posted!

Alsooooo my Aunty gave me a special card for me to have my hair and make-up done by Paul Bedggood for my formal!!!!! Google him!

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

I am sixteen, going on seventeen....

I'm sorry. I just HAD to make the Sound of Music reference....seeing as though....
MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORRRROOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW  WWOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 25: Someone who fascinates you and why
Eva Braun, who was Adolf Hitler's mistress/secret girlfriend. She truly fascinates me as I don't understand how she could be with someone who was capable of committing such inhumane acts. How she loved him so much that she could just ignore the atrocities which were taking place throughout her country at his hands. No matter how had I try I can't understand her actions and how she, let alone anyone, could be in a relationship with a man like Hitler.

On a lighter note,
It's the swimming carnival tomorrow so basically I'm dressing up in a fluro green leotard and eating Clare's chocolate mousse cake and Jem's Reeses Peanut Butter Cup cake.....omgyumzomg

There were a number of revelations in my life today:
1. I really, really hate moths. I saw one with a really big abdomen so I called it Kim Kardashian
2. Cars are hilarious. Maybe it's because I was overtired, but when I was on the bus this morning I honestly couldn't stop laughing. It's people in boxes with wheels....hehehehehe...
3. My birthday is tomorrow. Yiiippeeeee. My little brother asked me what I wanted and I said a nerf gun..woot
4. My essay for post-modernism really is quantity not quality....time to start again...
5. 'Dramastically' is not a word. Turns out it was just a word in my head, where I had combined the words dramatic and drastic
6. Cindy is so honest! A $20 note dropped out of the pocket of the guy walking in front of us, and she picked it up and ran after him and returned it. GOOO CINDDYY.

Yaaarrrr so I got a Formspring

I probably won't have it for long, so shoot away.
I don't think this link works for all computers...but but but...JUST ASK ME QUESTIONS. I'm that bored. Yiew.

SHOULD I GET A FORMSPRING

I got the BEST joke yesterday:
Knock knock
Who's there?
Cash
Cash who?
I didn't know you were a nut?

That text was from Phoebe but I can't be bothered dedicating a post to her due to the fact that she is always mentioned on here.

Day 24: Your favourite movie and why it's you favourite movie
There have been so many movies that I've watched then have made a mental note that if anyone asks me what my favourite movie is then I'll say that movie. Problem is I can never remember which ones they are. Although this is the case, I can think of a few which I really do love.
1. Tropic Thunder: I've watched it so many times and everytime I put it on I think to myself that I'm going to get bored of it.....but everytime I kill myself laughing. Don't even get me started on quoting the movie...
2. Fateless: It's a Holocaust movie about a young boy who is sent to Auschwitz. It's incredible and the end always gives me goosebumps
3. Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist: I don't know why but I have SO much love for this movie. It's just so chill. There's nothing better than watching it late at night when you find everything hilarious.
4. Titanic: I don't think this needs to be justified....

Yesterday I had the funniest/disturbing conversation with my father. It went like this:
Dad is reading the paper on the lounge
Me: I would really really really love it if you finished building my star laaammmppp!
Dad: I know you would
Me: ?
Dad: I read it on your blog
Me: You? Read my blog?
Dad: Yes... I've been reading Flower Girl for a while now. *Continues to read paper*
Me: ........

This weekend has been surprisingly productive. I finished both my essays, worked on my legal notes, and studied the parts of the Russian Revolution which I didn't really understand. Monday always seems better when you've had a productive weekend. This week is so awesome. My birthday is on Wednesday. YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY

P.S. I'm going to work on my Tumblr a bit more. I accidently ditched it for a couple of weeks
P.P.S. I miss this

SOCIAL EXPERIMENT

So basically as I was lying in bed thinking about how bored I am.....I came up with an awesome idea.
Here it is:

If you have my number in your phone, send me a text with A JOKE! Best idea ever Chloe. *Cyber Hi-5 to self*. If you don't have my number, email me a joke instead. If I find any of the jokes particularly hilarious, and it manages to make me not bored, I will devote an entire blog-post to you.

SEND AWAY FOLKS.
While I wait....I'll just continue lying on my bed revelling in my boredom....

Day 23

Day 23: Photos of 5 famous people who you find attractive

1.Francisco Lachowski- I think he deserves a video. Even though he looks really, really dumb......he is quite easy on the eye. Just a bit.

2. James Franco- He's gorgeous, funny and smart. Really smart.

3. Jesse Eisenberg- Fell in love with him in The Social Network and Adventureland. He's not as hot as all the other guys I've posted but his gorgeous personality makes him even more attractive in a way..

4. Josh Hartnett- Need I say more? He's just shoooo cute. Watch Pearl Harbour and you'll understand......

4. Nicholas Hoult- Just watch Skins. Although he's verging on being a douche, he is filed in my 'Gorgeous Category'. Not many guys make it into that category....

5. Jack Vanderhart- I'm not personally attracted to him....but I just felt like posting him on here because I used to go to school with him....major lolz.

Today has been so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so boring. I slept through yoga, sat in bed until 8.30, ate 5 coconut-ice cupcakes for breakfast, wrote an essay which I don't particularly like, went shopping for a quilt set for my bed, drank Coke Zero, ate chocolate, thought about how much work I have to do tomorrow, drew on my hand, drew on my stomach, sung along to songs on my iTunes, continued working on said essay, went to my grandparents' house, wrote a letter and got credit for my phone....finally.....

I'm thinking I might get a Formspring just for this blog so ya'll can all ask me questions. Email me your thoughts on this proposal.

ROFL

Watch the whole video. You won't regret it. Guaranteed ROFL.
Day 22: How have you changed in the past two years?
Two years ago I was 15.....that sounds really young even though it wasn't all that long ago.
I was such an idiot when I was 15. That was my age when I went down a steep hill in a pram, smashed into a telegraph pole, and broke my collarbone. I would like to say that I'm more mature now (in general) and I guess I am. I have my fun in different (less psycho....ok maybe not) ways now and I think that that comes with age.
I've changed a lot over the past two years.  I've definitely changed physically (I've grown outwards and upwards...I was relatively short and skin and bones back then), and also mentally- I'm far more mature emotionally and way, waaaaayyyy more confident than I was back then. I guess I act different now around different people- around some people, I act less mature then I was at 15, others I act my age.
When I was 15 I would have NEVER even dreamed about writing about my feelings on a public page such as this blog...I tended to keep my feelings to myself and while I had my best friends, all of whom were female, I never really let anyone know everything about me. Now I'm 17 (well..... 17 on Wednesday) I've changed in that I have a let a few people, male and female, know me almost as well as I know myself.

Sorry for that long response. Went into essay mode.....
Today went really, really slowly. Maybe it's because I wasn't really looking forward to this weekend. I'm basically working FLAT OUT. I have three essays to complete by Tuesday next week!!!!! Wah. I have yoga tomorrow at 7.15 tomorrow morning so hopefully that will give me a balance this weekend, and I have lots to look forward to as next week and next weekend are completely and utterly awesome. So hopefully I will make it through my humongous 'Chloe's ToDo List: The Weekend FML Edition'.

I discovered three things today:
1. That the dogs which are trained for dog racing are Greyhounds, not Dachshunds. Turns out I got the species of dog mixed up and thought that Dachshunds were the racedogs, thinking that they were the racing type of dog- you know, the grey, skinny, ugly ones. Well it turns our that Dachshunds are sausage dogs.  All this time I had been telling people that Dachshund racing is cruel.....aka that sausage dog racing is cruel. Now I'm just imagining sausage dog races....hehe.

2. It's hilarious when I go to tell someone something at school and they already know what I'm going to tell them because they've already read it on my blog. It's pretty funny....a tad awkward though.

3. This song is amazinkk.

Thursday, February 17, 2011

I have discovered that I have a bit of a non-sexual fetish for fairy lights and the night sky. It sounds lame but I reckon I could lie in one spot and watch one patch of the night sky for hours without getting bored.
My star lamp still sadly sits on my desk unfinished....

Crying tears of hot chocolate...

That sentence was completely irrelevant to everything. I just felt like making the title of this post something random..

Day 21: Your favourite TV show.
I CANNOT chose between Skins and Modern Family, which I find hilarious as they have absolutely NOTHING in common. Except that they're not animated. But seriously.

Sooooooo the past two days have been relatively awesome. Why? Because:
1. I dyed my hair chocolate-brown. It's not permanent but by the time it rinses out I'll have enough money for BLUE TIPS. Good plan Chloe, good plan.

2. A group of juniors cleared the back seat of the bus for me after I have them the best glare of my life. I was also walking out of the bathroom at school, where a group of year 7s were blocking the exit, and I said 'Excuse me, ladies'. They scurried out of my way and every single one of them apologised. I have now understood how to properly manipulate human beings under the age of 14.

3. The parentals are on a 'twilight tour' of a school for Chris (my little brother), and I thought that Mum hadn't left me any dinner, then I opened the fridge to find that she HAD BOUGHT ME INDIAN. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

4. I've mastered falling asleep in the common room....not sure if this is a good thing....

5. I forced myself to book a spot in the new 6 am yoga class on Friday mornings. Better have an early night tonight....

6. I realised that next week is awesome, due to the fact that: I have an excursion on Monday, mufti day on Tuesday, last swimming carnival ever/MY BIRRRRRTTTHDDAAYAYAYAYAAYAY on Wednesday, an excursion on Friday, and I'm seeing one of my friends perform at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Sunday night. LIFE IS GOOOOOOO0O0O0O0O0OD.

P.S. THANKYOU TO CAROL WHO FOUND THE MERMAID RING ON THE INTERNET! Woo!

P.P.S. I am actually going to go and do some work now

P.P.P.S. I CANNOT STOP SINGING THIS STUPID SONG. IT'S HYPNOTISING. I swear it's zombie propaganda published to brainwash us. It's working.
There's a zombie on youurrr laaawwwwnnn

Obama self.

Such an epic pun. Thanks Jem.

Day 20: Your views on education.
I think that education is definitely one of the most important aspects of childhood, and although it is a universal right to primary education, it honestly makes me so sad that there are so many children out there who will never learn be able to write their own name or read a book.
For a long time I took my education for granted and only recently have I really been attempting to make the most of all the oppertunities I have. I'm pretty lucky.

Here's what I did on Valentine's Day:
  • Woke up at 6 AM
  • Phoebe gave me a hand-made top which has 'All by myself' written on it
  • I get an extra-large coffee at Central (need the extra caffeine....). I ask the couple if they are doing anything special for Valentine's Day, to which she replies 'Yes.....you don't want to know'. Reow. Glad to know that they've still got that spark ;).
  • Arrive at school wearing my new awésomeT-shirt over my blouse
  • Sit in common-room eating Carol's home-made chocolate and other flavoured home-made lollypops
  • Kate gives me an úber awesome bracelet that she made for me....I'm baking her love-heart cupcakes..
  • Lunch: Sing 'All by Myself' with Jedda and various other lost souls. The video clip to that song is too hilarious for words. So. Lame.
  • Get banned from singing the song in the common room
  • Come home, continue singing song, Dad bans from singing song at home. Where do I sing the song now!
  • Alllllllllll by mmmyyyyseeellffff......
  • Sit in bed on Facebook, alone (unless you count fb as socialising....) in the dark with my love-heart fairy lights on. Single life CAN be fun!
If you haven't been bored to death yet, please put up with the following rant. I need to get it off my system.
HORSE RACING IS REVOLTING. It's animal cruelty and I honestly do not understand why in this day and age it hasn't been made illegal. It's disgusting- exploiting horses purely for the purpose of profit. I'm going to e-mail Greenpeace...........

Day 19

Day 19: Disrespecting your parents
I have a lot of respect for my parents. I know it sounds lame, but it's true. Although this is the case, I'm the normal teenager in terms of arguing/talking back/disobeying. That aside, I'm an awesome, wise, amazing, fearless, hilarious, gorgeous, (insert more flattering adjectives) daughter.

Awesome party last night. Pool turned different colours and there was a strobe- I have been deprived of strobe lights for too long. Got a tad dizzy and collapsed on lounge.........but it was so worth it

I would like to use this post to acknowledge how legendary two of my friends are....
FRIDAY: Hannie and Kate feel like being somewhere else other than school. What did they do about this feeling?
THEY CAUGHT THE TRAIN TO THE BLUE MOUNTAINS!
I'll be the first to admit that I didn't believe them when they packed their bags and got on a bus to Central, saying that they were catching a train to the Blue Mountains. But they did. After school, when I logged in on Facebook, I my jaw dropped as I saw a photo of them at the Blue Mountains.
Vat Legends. There should be a day on the calendar to celebrate this photo's legendness.

Hannie and Kate:Legends since 11/2/11

Day 18. Come at me brah.

Yah so like I haven't even given up on this 30 challenge yet.

Day 18: Your beliefs
What a broad question. I honestly don't know how to answer that. You, mysterious 3rd person question asker, could be asking about my beliefs regarding religion (you did ask me one on that subject previously though), human existance, love, Lady Gaga, Switzerland, extraterrestrial life, the Universe, sex, ice-cream, marriage, musicals, teenage angst, Tzvetan Todorov, or my Mother's banana cake. You need to sharpen up your questions if you want quality answers.

Today was immediately filed in my 'FML Day' file.
Why, you may ask? The following reasons justify my statement:

  • No money for coffee
  • Fell asleep in the common room so I didn't get work one
  • Spilt my hot pasta on my blouse, resulting in me having to wear a jumper for the rest of the day. Yeah, the heat made it not all that pleasurable
  • Sulked at the fact that I'm not seeing Phoenix at Good Vibrations
  • Was given an essay in Ext. English written by a girl last year- so sophisticated that I couldn't understand a word of it...........seriously.
  • Ms Ordell wasn't as school, consequently meaning that I didn't get any critical feedback for the weekend
  • Dropped my super cool drink bottle on the wooden floor so the lid half-broke
  • Dropped my box of Smiggle highlighters all over the wooden floor so they scattered everywhere
The day got better after lunch though- Cindy and I went a bit crazy with the web-cam on my laptop. No comment.

This weekend is jam-packed:
  •  Legal- page on State Sovereignty
  • Ext. History work on the Annales historians
  • Finish E.H. Carr questions
  • Drama logbook
  • Find a related text for post-modernism
  • Orlando essay
  • Russian Revolution notes
  • Party
  • State Library
  • Eat Macaroons at Lindt Cafe
I really, really want this ring. Really. If anyone sees it/has seen it in a shop, could you pretty please shoot me an email to the address on my Penpals page? Maybe we'll find success like with the star lamp!
The following photos make me really happy. Don't know why. Maybe it's because I'm so overtired...

Oh yeah, and one day I'm going to have a festival romance. At Glastonbury Festival, of course. What of it.

HOMGZOMG

Yaaa so I had a massive, spontaneous surge in page views yesterday....people must like girls who speak of sexy, 26 year old stockbrokers...

Day 17: Your highs and lows of the past year
This question is pretty tough to answer, seeing as though we are only around a month and abit into it.....
My high is just being generally happy this early into the year. Usually I'm wallowing due to the fact that I'm back at school and have mountains of work, however I've decided that this is my last year of high school and I'm going to enjoy every moment rather than sulk.
In terms of low points so far, the first day back was abit tough due to some dynamics changing at school, however I'm not going to be the one that lets things hang over their head. MOOOOOOOOOVE ON CHLOE!

I never keep the MX newspaper (the free newspaper given out at Central), however today I was reading my horoscope and it was so motivating that I had to keep it to write it here:

"Dont give up on things too easily. Be inspired by Thomas Edison's words:
'Many of life's faliures are experienced by people who did not realise how close they were to success when they gave up'."

Sweet dreams everyone! Have an awesome Friday. This week has gone so fast!

P.S. I totally forgot that I created a 'penpal' page. If you have written and I haven't replied, I don't hate you/think you're a terrorist. I rarely check that e-mail so I'll log in tomorrow afternoon and reply!
P.P.S. I WANT THOSE DRESSES BELOW. Can't decide which colour I like the best. Maybe the rose one? But what can go wrong with a short black dress!

I'm so lazy

Sorry that I've missed two days of the 30 Challenge. I hope that you didn't miss my wise answers and that you didn't die out of sadness.

Day 15: Your favourite Tumblrs
I don't really have a favourite Tumblr. I like to go on random ones every so often due to the fact that they're all unique and have their own style of photos that the person selects to post.

Day 16: Your views on mainstream music
I seriously want to punch the screen when people join the groups 'Like if you knew a song before it became Maintstream'. It's mainstream because more people like you listened to it and liked it! Mainstream has somehow become a genre rather than 'music that is currently popular', the prime example being anything by the lovely, classy Keisha. If that's how you spell it. Maybe the I comes before the E, but I dislike her so much that I'm not even going to Google it. Yeah, I'm ruthless like that.

Today was definitely put in my 'Above-Average-Days' file. To cut a long story short, I found a wallet this morning, and with Phoebe and Alisha, we managed to return it safely back to its owner who was:
A sexy, 26 year old stockbroker who lives in an apartment on Bondi Beach.
Yeah, be jealous. The office ladies were even swooning over him when he came by the front office to pick up the wallet and give us a nice big box of chocolates.

Yesterday evening I went to HSC Onstage, which is a showcase of the best performances, group and individual, of last years HSC. It was my 3rd HSC Onstage and, to be honest, I felt that the standard was far lower than the previous two years I've been, with the exception of the last two performances. On the way to the theatre I found the most INSANE bookshop in Newtown. It's basically a 2 story barn filled to the brim with books that aren't in order. I found an ancient, hard cover copy of Jane Eyre which had tea stains and water-colour illustrations. DEFINITELY going back there.

Tomorrow I'm going to a Greenpeace conference at UTS featuring the 'Tokyo Two'. Google them. In the arvo I'm off to the State Library with the hope of finding a book for Extention History. If I don't find it, then you can officially label me as 'DOOMED' for the subject. Seriously. If I don't find it I'm walking out of the library, across the road to the Lindt Cafe, ordering 5 hazlenut macaroons and crying my little heart out.

I'm in love....

with you....
LOL jks I'm OBSESSED with Iron and Wine. So much talent. Every song is so unique and brilliant. I've been lying on my bed (doing Legal notes...taking me forever), with my fairy lights on listening to them for the entire afternoon.

DAY 14: Your earliest memory
I have no idea how young I was, but I clearly remember leaving a trail of dogfood all around my Grandparent's back-garden, the dog following behind me and eating them as I layed them down. Dog got sick. Chloe got in trouble.

Today I was SO TIRED. In the morning I got an EXTRA LARGE COFFEE and then at lunch, after deciding I needed more caffeine in my blood so I bought A COKE ZERO. In the end I was so tired (despite having so much caffeine) that I fell asleep in the common room during my free. I was kicked awake in time for my next class.....

Tomorrow is HSC Onstage. So excited! Wooooooooooooooooooooooo

Sunday, February 6, 2011

I'm one of those people who have playlists for each season. Due to the weather's spontaneous decision to throw some coldness into our lives, I thought I would celebrate by posting the first song off my 'Winter' playlist. It's the perfect song to listen to when it's raining outside and you're in your bed drinking tea. Just don't spill your tea.

DAY 13

Day 13: A place that you'd like to move to or visit someday
I know for sure that as soon as I have the money (I.e. when I get a proper job whilst at uni), I'll travel all around Europe. Oh, and South America. I'd love to settle in Manhattan or London someday. I just love the two cities and their different city cultures.

Today I spent the entire day in my bed, except for two trips downstairs. I ate 5 cupcakes and now there are crumbs in the spine of my Legal Studies textbook. Solid effort Chloe.

COMING UP THIS WEEK:
-HSC Onstage
-State Library
-COFFFFEEEEEE (now that I have money from babysitting!)
-Yoga
-Party
-Stressing over having 3 major works
-Crying over the fact that I'm not seeing Phoenix at Good Vibrations
-Stalking my friend Clare's blog. Click here to read it!.

Max is cool Pt. 2

Max and Beretov claim that all I write about on this blog is my feelings , so I handed my laptop over to them for 10 minutes:

This blog shall be different. Because Max Korber's name is the title of this glorious edition, I will not dishonour him by talking about my feelings. So do enjoy this emotion-free blog. I approve of today's content.

I was really caught up in love with the woman of my dreams. She looked so masculine, infact she may have been a man who liked eating ice cream. Hi, I am Chlobe One Kenobie and I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool...
I enjoy the following- I have provided a handy list:
Hi my name is Chloe, I go to Sydney Tech and enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Some years later, doctors will tell me I have an IQ of 48 or what some others would say, "metally retarded"....I like to think i'm special...

I find it ironic that they complain about me only talking about my feelings then continue to post about my 'supposed feelings'.....solid effort guys!
P.s. the line 'I enjoy the following- I have provided a handy list' doesn't even make sense....just saying...
P.P.S Sydney Tech is an all boys school.....

But otherwise, boys, that was a quality piece of imaginitive writing. I'm sure my blog is anticipating your return.

Orlando

I've decided to skip the question of my 10 random iPod songs due to the fact that my iPod is now dead and I can't be bothered to charge it.

Day 12: Bullet your whole day

  • Woke up early for yoga
  • Couldn't be bothered going to yoga
  • Stayed in my room which was air-conditioned to 18 degrees, wrapped in my quilt.
  • Got dressed
  • Went for coffee at Edmund's and Greer- YIIIEEWWSKIES FOR DOUBLE FREES ON FRIDAY MORNINGS
  • Caught the train
  • Caught the bus
  • Walked through the school gates
  • Went to common room- first time I had seen it empty......was quite wierd
  • Decorated common room with love-heart sticky notes
  • Wrote up legal notes in library sitting in front of a fan
  • Ate a Wizz-Fizz lollypop
  • Ate a pink-donut- the joys of the SBHS canteen and friends who buy me food.
  • Year Assembly- had to stand out the front to get an SRC award. Awkward....
  • Looked up phones on the internet. I'm going to get a BlackBerry Pearl......EXCITED!!!!!
  • Actually worked in Modern and actually got some actual work done. Actually.
  • Slept in drama
  • Worked in common room
  • Looked in shops at Central
  • Caught train home
  • Saw friends at station
  • Walked home
  • Ate cupcakes
  • Dipped hair in blue food dye. Hands are now blue. Still can't get blue off hands
  • Might go to Max's spa. We'll see. Cause I'm so spontaneous and everything.

We finished the film Orlando (by Sally Potter) in english extension today, and it wasn't like anything I have ever seen before. Soooo post-modern. I guess that's why we're studying it. The topic is post-modernism afterall..

Anyway, to the point. At the end of the film the protagonist, Orlando, said a line which was so memorable that I had to write it down.

"Ever since she let go of her past, she found her life was beginning"

I don't know about you and your current situation in life, but I found this so motivating and inspiring for me  and 2011.  Now I just sound cheesy. But seriously.

The awkward moment...

when your Mum just doesn't understand...

Today was, overall, a pretty above-average day. To begin with, I got free coffee in the morning (nothing tastes better than coffee when you're not expecting it), had a productive meeting with Ms Ordell (my 4U mentor), finished Modern hw, finished English homework, and to top it off, Carol bought me a pink donut. Oh, and my birthday is in 20 days.

I can't be bothered doing today's question (10 random songs off Ipod), and my iPod actually died so I can't do it anyway! In place of today's question can I say that I think some people need to look at the bigger picture...that is, if they have one. Just a word of advice? Kthnxbi.

TOMORROW IS THE BEST DAY EVER. I only have to go to school at 11. I might take a yoga class in the morning- it starts at 6am! It's the type of yoga called Kundalini which is all about self-awareness and spirituality. I'm going to start going twice a week because I'm cool like that. Yaaar.

Coming up this weekend for Chloe:
-English belonging story
-Modern- Trotsky notes
-English 4U
-State Library
-Hurzy Library
-MAX'S SPA.

Magical pairs....

Day 10: Describe your first love and your first kiss
My first love was with a character in the Jimmy Neutron movie. Yes, I was in love with an animated character. Can't remember his name now but I do remember that he was really cool and rode a skate-board.
I'll tell you my first moment where a guy went to kiss me (I rejected him....cause I'm cool like that), because the story is hilarious. I was in year 5, and the guy who I was 'going out with' (by primary school standards), when we were sitting together on the 'silver seats', asked if he could kiss me, due to the fact that all the other 'couples' had kissed. I politely replied, before running off:
"No, because we will get Meningococcal disease".
You kind of have to love my 10 year old self.....

You all should be very proud of me right now due to the fact that I:
FINISHED ALL MY MODERN NOTES FOR WW1! ALL FOUR PARTS!
Took me around 3 solid weeks and I'm finally done.

You should also be proud of me because I haven't had a cup of coffee since Sunday! Even though this is because I've run out of money, it's still a good effort!

P.S. The prefect's shirts have the 7/11 symbol up the top, and down the bottom it says 'We are always open'. Provided much entertainment in the common room today. Turns out I'm not the only one with a dirty mind/immature.

P.P.S. I want all the rings on the left finger.

COME BACK, HOLIDAYS!

Day 09: What you hope your future is like
Happy.

I MISS YOU HOLIDAYS. Really, I do. Please retun. If you can't do that, can you please put school on fast-forward for 30 weeks? Kthnxbi.
Yaaaa so forget all that optimistic stuff I said yesterday. Arrived back at school and had pretty much the worst day ever. It was hot, couldn't find one of my school shoes (found it after 45 minutes), didn't have enough money to buy coffee, was ignored, realised how behind I was in Modern, had no tea to drink in the common room, and didn't have a fork for my pasta. I WISH YOGA WAS TONIGHT. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE TOMORROW. WAH.
I'm actually pretty upset right now. I might go to bed. Sleep fixes everything. Especially when your bed is awesome.

Sunday, January 30, 2011

Oh.....

Day 08: The moment when you felt most satisfied with your life
I was 14, on an old-fashioned steam train somewhere in NSW  (can't remember where to be honest!). It was just hitting full speed and we were going through a beautiful forest. I stuck my head out the window, with the force of the wind in my hair and on my face, and it was one of those moments where you make a mental note to remember that moment in time. I remember thinking to myself how good life was at that exact moment, and how much I had to look forward to.
In a way, I kind of hope to always be satifsied with my life. I don't want to ever feel as though I limited my opportunities or messed up my future. I'm hoping that the biggest feeling of satisfaction yet will come when I finish school- that all the effort I'm putting in for this year pays off. That's if I survive doing 3 major works.

I'm more confused than upset that the holidays are over....it's like they were put on fast-forward. I didn't go away at all and it ended up being one of the best summer holidays ever....
I'm not unhappy about returning to school, because unlike the last summer holidays, I've been pretty consistant with my school-work throughout the duration of these holidays, so I'm pretty much on top of things. We'll see how long that lasts.

Day 7

Day 7: Your zodiac sign and you think if fits your personality
My zodiac sign Pisces. I think that horoscopes are load of crap....except for the one in MX. It always gets it right...it's a tad freaky.

Off Wiki:
A longing for movement and are extremely restless. Pisces is the most watery sign. It is constantly trying to adapt itself to its ever-changing feelings and to the moods and whims of others.
The first part is definitely true! I always need something to do or I drive myself crazy. Don't know about the last part though.

Day 6

I'm at the library again, and I have extremely exciting news to share with you guys:
I FINISHED IF ON A WINTER'S NIGHT A TRAVELLER! SO EXCITING.

I honestly never thought I would finish it. To celebrate, I am now up to page 2 of a Mills&Boon (It's called The Bride of Montefalco), due to the fact that I have unfullfilled desire to read a piece of shitty literature. I also have a few bridal magazines next to me. Don't know why but I find them enjoyable to read. This does not suggest that I want to get married. I just like looking at pretty dresses ok?

DAY 6: 30 interesting facts about yourself
1. I am a terrible sleepwalker. One time Dad had to chase after me down the street....mum even has to write it on camp forms.
2. I have a weakness for Coke Zero and 5 Gum (only the green one)
3. My dog Darcy's full name is Mr. Darcy of Oatley, due to Mum's unhealthy obsession with Pride and Prejudice

8. I tend to hold grudges as much as I try not too
9. I used to be athletic.....

11. When I was 5,  a company contacted Mum asking if my sister and I would fly to Hong Kong once a fortnight where wealthy families would 'hire' us to be flower girls at weddings. Yeah....mum declined...
12.I used to pass out alot. By the 5th time I would just casually say 'yo, guys, I'm blacking out- can someone catch me?'.
13. I'm going to try and stop drinking coffee for a while...let's see how long that lasts
14. I'm overly idealistic
15. I'm an extreme perfectionist
16. I'm now halfway in writing down facts about myself, and have run out of interesting things to say

18. I love reading crappy novels that Mum circulates amongst her friends
19. I only do well in subjects that I really love, hence the dropping of maths and science

27. My favourite food is slow-cooked country chicken
28. I could live off Oporto. I went to a Japanese restraunt with friends and snuck in Oporto....
29. I don't want to grow old. I don't think anyone does though, thus making this statement not interesting in the slightest.
30. I'm too indecisive. And sarcastic.

Soooooo much love for this song

Oh well in five years time we could be walking round a zoo
With the sun shining down over me and you
And there’ll be love in the bodies of the elephants too
And I’ll put my hands over your eyes, but you’ll peek through
