The nation's capital

SO I have returned from the land of Parliament House. Despite the jokes people tend to make about Canberra, I had a great time! We caught up with old friends, saw the movie Hugo (which is absolutely beautiful), had a couple of FANTASTIC coffees (gold star for Canberra!), had a lovely picnic by Lake Burley Griffin at sunset where we spent a little too long ghosting passing walkers, nearly got attacked by a black swan, watched Tron: Legacy and thought it was pretty cool, and continued reading A History of the World in 100 Objects which is now my favourite non-fiction book in the history of the world (...see what I did there? Hehe). The weather was absolutely freezing but our friends who we were staying with have an indoor pool (=Heaven) so I got plenty of swim-time despite the low temperatures outside!

P.S. The video I posted a couple of days ago was a bit of a fail (I didn't copy and paste the link properly-go me), but it was just Muse performing at Glastonbury Festival. I've posted the video so many times over the past few years that you probably know it off by heart anyway!

P.P.S. I've re-kindled my love for One Night Only (well, their old music. Hellooooo 17 year old George Craig!).
