See what I did there? I should really stop being such an Ed Sheeran fangirl...
So I'm kind of an adult now. I say 'kind of' because I'm an adult in a legal sense, but anyone who knows me will agree that I don't behave like an adult. I realised that I should really stop behaving like a 15 year old when I was on the phone to a friend fangirling over One Direction's announcement that they're touring Australia. I'll attempt to act a bit more mature in the forthcoming weeks. If One Direction plays on the radio, I'll say 'Oh em gee that boy band is like so terrible. Bon Iver like knows what music is like and his music can like read my souuulll and I play his songs on my guitar and then post them on my Tumblrrrr and get like 158503495804 notes', when inside my brain is really screaming "OH MY GOD ONE DIRECTION ARE SEX ON LEGS HARRY STYLES I'M GOING TO PASH AND DASH YOU WHEN YOU COME TO SYDNEY I DON'T CARE IF YOU GET A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST ME AND OMGGGGG NIALL'S IRISH ACCENT IS ADORABLE I WISH I COULD MARRY IT AND I LOVE HIS BLONDE HAIR AND LIAM IS SUCH A BABE EVEN THOUGH HE'S TAKEN BUT OH WELL JNKFO;SNDGJNFDGNFD AND LOUIS IS HILARIOUSSZZZZZZZ OMMMMMMMG IS IT LEGAL TO MARRY ALL OF YOU???!!".
On to more important matters: My 18th birthday. I honestly couldn't have had a more amazing day...it included being given amazing presents (including incredible Swarovski earrings from Mum and Dad), being pampered at a day spa, going to Edmunds and Greer twice (yes, on my 18th birthday I went to Edmunds and Greer twice), having a lovely afternoon tea with the grandparents, and then heading out for what I thought was going to be a dinner with my Aunty and Uncle in Newtown which ended up being.... A SURPRISE PARTY! Yep, turns out Mum was secretly plotting with my friends! I got SUCH a big shock that I nearly fell all the way back down the stairs. It was so lovely to spend my birthday with my good friends, some of whom I haven't seen since last year! Such a great night. The only reason I didn't organise a party myself was because I'm too lazy, so it was SO nice to be able to see my friends and not have to worry about organising anything! I finished off the night coming home with Phoebe and Eleni and watching the final episode of Friends. We began watching it after the HSC and now we're finished! I nearly cried, and that's saying something because I don't cry very often!
My second day of being 18 (yesterday) was spent drinking coffee at Edmunds and Greer for three hours (and they asked us to model some hand bags for them which was quite hilarious), playing an extremely unsafe but all the more fun version of musical chairs in the car on the way to the beach (which involves running outside of the car...try doing that in heavy clogs!), relaxing on the beach, and then going out to the local pub with my friend who has recently moved to Canberra! We went back to his house where my friends thought it would be funny to all lick the screen of my new Blackberry! My poor, poor little Blackberry...
So yeah, I've been pretty busy! I'm absolutely dead now, and I'm babysitting tonight! Here's hoping I don't fall asleep.
Hope all of your weekends are going mighty fine,
Adult Chloe xx
