A moment, a love
a dream, aloud
a kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs

Kate said something alternative/indie for me to say, but I forgot it.

Today I did something terrible.

I allowed myself to walk into a shopping centre with all the money I had.

I spent it all.

EVERY LAST CENT.

Before the State Drama Festival, I bought a really cute dress, and on the way to the theatre I saw a gorgeous top and tried it on. I decided to test my self control, and to my surprise I somehow managed to put the top back and walk out of the store. Continuing on down the road, I said to myself "Wow Chloe, you have totally changed your ways..you showed some self control!". I said this in my head of course...what, you think I'm some weirdo who talks to themselves, like the drunk guy who was sitting opposite you on the train this morning? (*awkward silence*)

After we performed at the festival (which went awesomely), I decided to drop by my local Westfield to waste some time.

Bad decision Chloe. I spent the rest of my money. ALL OF MY BABYSITTING MONEY. But hey, on the way out I got a free Large Skim Capp. with one sugar for FREE because I did a 2 minute survey for Westfield. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING tastes better than free coffee.

In the past 2 days since I have posted I have had many life-changing realisations:
1. I HATE TOE RINGS. My EXTREME hatred for such insults to fashion is well summarised in the following quote made by my acquaintance Phoebe: 'Toe rings....should just go and die in a hole". AMEN TO THAT SISTER. Toes are gross. Rings on toes are grosser.
2. Everyone should read 'The Happiness Trap' by Dr Russ Harris. STOP STRUGGLING, START LIVING!. So motivational/inspiring, while pretty funny at the same time. It's a book entirely dedicated to happiness and how be genuinely happy. Guaranteed entertainment when read aloud at lunchtimes with friends.
3. Yoga is amazing. I started the new course on Wednesday night and I can truly say that it is amazing (couldn't find a better word...). I walked in to a dimly lit room with yoga mats and blankets spread out in a circle, calming music playing in the background. The session began with 5 minutes of just lying still, followed by an hour of yoga (which wasn't too difficult), and finished with 15 minutes of relaxation, where my instructor placed a blanket and an aromatherapy mask on my. I have NEVER been so relaxed in my entire life. When I stood up after the lesson had finished I nearly toppled over due to the fact that I was so relaxed.
4. Never eat chocolate mousse with musk-sticks and biscuits as forks, washing it down with lemonade. While it may be tasty/seem like a good idea at the time, when you feel like you are going to vomit just before you go on stage you will regret it. Promise.
5. I learnt how to say 'I want you' in Spanish: Te de so. To say to my chocolate bar, of course.

Ta taa my darrrrlings

P.S. Please excuse my lack of photos. Blame it on my stupid computer which WON'T LET ME UPLOAD ANY

INSPIRATION

Summary of my attempt at learning Spanish:
I throw my Spanish in the air somtimes saying
ayo nocomprehendo

I know Dynamite jokes are getting a tad stale/old/lame BUT COME ON PEOPLE. THIS IS PURE GENIUS.

Today was the NIDA HSC Drama Study Day which was pretty insanely informative, and to top it off I took a risk and wore my Nan's shorts and I'll definitely be wearing them again in the near future. I also took my new Topshop satchel which I am very protective of and LOVE (thanks again Eleni!). I think I may have found a monologue to do for the HSC but we'll see.

I now have money (and lots of it) from babysitting, I have been inspired to post fashion inspired photos. Speaking of fashion, I have very exciting news.

I AM TRICK-OR-TREATING THIS HALLOWEEN!

You may label me as 'lame' or 'immature' BUT BUT BUT I have never been before so I am embracing this new-found freedom (....?). The fashion-related aspect to this random tangent is WHAT DO I WEAR? I am so desperate for ideas that unless I think of something better, I am going to throw a white sheet over me and cut eye holes.

P.S. I really want a thick brown belt, a thin brown belt, a maxi-skirt and knee-high sock. That's all.

P.P.S. Love.

Yesterday was pretty awesome. Allow me to explain.
I slept in (this is an achievement as usually everyday I wake up automatically at 6.15, but today was an exception). I then, using a large amount of self discipline, wrote a summary for everything we've done in Modern History this term, spanning over a whole 8 pages. By the end of writing the summary, I felt dizzy and WW1 had nearly driven me to insanity. I don't blame Moltke for screwing up everything for Germany- just one hour of writing notes on war plans gave me headaches. Nethertheless, I felt quite accomplished and thoroughly pleased whilst flipping through my new, fresh, NEAT set of notes.

I then met Eleni at Edmunds and Greer (it's become abit of a routine, you see), and EDMUNDS AND GREER WAS FULL (*shocked gasp*). Instead of panicking, I took 10 deep breaths, and walked inside where we ordered takeaway coffee instead of waiting for a table (which would have taken ages....it was hot, ok?). With our coffees, we walked along the line of shops were we all signed up for a new yoga class on Wednesday afternoons, then we proceeded to the bakery where we bought the last of the fresh white baugettes. The guy who works in that bakery is SO. CUTE. We then ate our baugettes and drank our coffees in a park under a really pretty tree/bush thing. Great description, but this tree/plant thing is HARD TO EXPLAIN (*cries*)

I came home, wrote a abit of my HSC drama monologue, then set off to babysit two very adorable children, AND I GOT A TIP. Snaps for me. After the kids went to bed, I watched Spiderman for the first time. You could imagine my reaction when I discovered that both TOBEY MAGUIRE and JAMES FRANCO were in it. How had I not seen this earlier? The movie was so good I looked around the house for the next two, found the third one, and watched it. I am now proud to admit I am a Spiderman convert.

Here is my song for the week:

I'm tired.

I had an 11 hour sleep last night yet I feel as though I had no sleep at all...
I'll do a mega-post tomorrow (I've spent the last hour since returning from dinner at my Grandma's house collecting photos), but I just had to post the excerpt from an interview below which made me laugh as it is SO TRUE. If only I could hold a pause like Alan Rickman.

“Jon: [Alan Rickman] holds a pause better than any other actor.
Russell: Ah, doesn’t he just!
Jon: There’s a line in Harry Potter where he pauses for about half an hour in the middle of a sentence and just nails it. “People will think you’re……up to something.” Takes him about three hours to say it but you’re excited all the way through.
Russell: It must be a nightmare behind him in Tesco or something like that. “What……will I have?”
Jon: “Do I want……cashback?”
Russell: “Do I have……a Tesco Clubcard?”
Jon: “People will think I’m……buying something.”

P.S. Here's................another HSC motto photo.(GET IT!? I DID A LONG PAUSE LIKE ALAN RICKMAN! But seriously).

P.S. I still love this song even though I have listened to it about a million and one times. Also listen to Dog Days are Over by Florence and the Machine.

Boys are like songs. There are those songs that you instantly love, and the songs you hate at first but then learn to like. There are the songs you like at first, but then they start to get irritating. There are the songs that you love when you first hear them, but when you truly listen to them, you realize they aren’t that great after all. And then there are the songs that you may not hear for awhile, but when you do hear them, you still know all the words.

Just one of those days....

I didn't like last night's Glee episode, except the legendary line spoken by the one and only Finn:

"Dear Cheesus, please let me touch Rachel's girl boobies".

I think it was great that the explored the concept of religion, however having the only non-religious member of the Glee club being gay was a tad stereotypical.

Today's mufti-day at school was HALLOWEEN! Last year I came as Sarah Palin (complete with a mask which I kept on most of the day....only at a selective school would one not get bullied for dressing up as a political figure). This year I came wearing a normal, casual outfit, with...wait for it...
SKIN-COLOURED BLOODSTAINED TIGHTS!

You have to see them to believe just how real they look- it genuinely looked as though I got hit by a car or had my legs mauled by dogs. When I was in the canteen with my friend the lady at the register FREAKED OUT like you would not believe and nearly dropped my friend's butter chicken (my friend Jedda loves her butter chicken...no one get in the way of Jedda and her butter chicken).

Enough on blood-stained tights. It dawned on me today, when I was in the library wasting a free period, that this is my last year of my schooling career before pursuing TERTIARY EDUCATION (!!!!!!!!!!). I stopped what I was doing and began to work my ass off, slaving away on my Extension History concept. See! I can have self discipline sometimes (*nervous laugh*)!

I really wanted to write something cheesy/motivational/sad here about how after this year we are all going separate ways and it's all up us to make the most of our lives.....but I thought that this photo appropriately summed up my attitude towards year 12.

But before the HSC IS HARRY POTTER 7 PART ONE! I am so excited and I have subsequently shifted into a very festive mood. My group at school has already begun to carefully plan a Harry Potter party (I'm coming as Ron...sshhhh!, complete with all 6 DVD's, going out to eat Treacle Tarts (Harry's favourite desert), chocolate frogs and SPIDERS! We're cool like that.
I think the photo below may be the best end to a book, ever. If you live in a hole which inside a hole, the sentence below is the line completing the Harry Potter series. I cried when I read it. If you have never read Harry Potter, I suggest you get out of my way before I personally torture you with the Crucio Curse.

If you didn't take my advice and move out of my way, and survived the Crucio curse, I also found this song while procrastinating and it is SO good to just press play to this song when you've had a pretty average day...

P.S. I really love the two photos below. Hope you do too!

New favourite song

It's a mash-up of Kids by MGMT and Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol = CHASING KIDS
I'm in love

MGMT VS Snow Patrol - Chasing Kids .mp3
Found at bee mp3 search engine

P.S. I love everything about this photo, particularly the PINK TIPS!

My new baby.

Yesterday I:

GOT A BRAND-SPANKIN-NEW-SAMSUNG-BLACK-SHINY-PRETTY-LAPTOP!

My life is complete. I am going to take it to school tomorrow and am actually going to DO SOME WORK (*shocked gasp*) in one of my 3 free periods that I have tomorrow. That's if I don't get distracted by taking photos on the laptop's insanely epic photobooth.....but I won't. IT'S YEAR 12 CHLOE. AND YOU HAVE 3 MAJOR WORKS. And, to rub salt into the wound, I already have a pretty poor standard of self discipline. Looks like I won't be spending every afternoon blogging and trawling Facebook!

I'm now filing through my brain's filing cabinets (which are close to empty), in an attempt to remember what I did over the weekend. Here we go:
-> I babysat on Saturday night (7.30-12.30) AND Sunday (from Midday to Midnight..GOT SO MUCH MONEY!)
->Lions Festival (See post below)

Overall it was quite a pleasant weekend and I rate it 6 out of a possible 10 stars.

Now onto Chloe's Discussion Topic for the week:
JEGGINGS.
Now I know that this topic (and clothing item) is overkill, however upon seeing a woman at the station wearing the said clothing item, my hatred for this insult to fashion was reignited. Throughout the duration of my walk home, I brainstormed what one could possibly wear with Jeggings to pull them off (not literally). From the 30 minutes I pondered, I could only think of one possible scenario where Jeggings could work.

BY PUTTING THEM IN THE BIN.

Why not just buy a pair of skinny jeans? LEGGINGS ARE NOT MADE TO BE WORN ALONE AS PANTS (unless you are exercising).
I'm glad I got this out of my system. What's also soothing is that I think the Jeggings phase has nearly reached it's grave, and hopefully it will stay there. FOR GOOD.

P.S. Eleni brought back from Topshop the UBER AWESOMEST satchel in the world......

P.P.S. James Franco is so gorgeous. AND HE'S SMART. Drool. Commence stalking.
P.P.P.S. I really really really want a Polariod camera so I can make a collage on my wall!

Lions Festivale

TODAY MY FRIENDS WAS THE LIONS FESTIVAL! For those who live under a rock: The entire of Oatley village is transformed into an uber awesome festival.
I bought:
1x bag
1x Dip'n'Dots ice cream (Flavour: Chocolate)
1x Neenish Tart (Pink and brown...no jam..just the way I like it)
1x Diet Coke
1x Fishing Encyclopedia (For my little brother Chris)
1x Sour Rainbow Rope (For Chris...I'm such an amazing sister)
2x large skim capp. with one sugar

Yesterday I caught an evening session of Eat Pray Love and I must admit that despite the fairly negative reviews, I really enjoyed it- it is really inspirational/motivational to look at where you stand in life. Sounds cheesy, but if you see it you will understand what I'm saying. SO SEE IT!

If you are still sitting down in front of your computer you should slap yourself..FOR THE SECOND TIME NOW GO AND SEE EAT PRAY LOVE!

P.S. Before you pick up your wallet and dash out the door to watch Eat Pray Love, CAN SOMEONE TEACH ME HOW TO DO A FISHTAIL PLAIT. Kthnxbi.

2. I am now 4 days into year 12 and have ideas for all my major works, and have nearly chosen my Belonging related texts.

4. I saw Our Town at the Opera House, and the last act was quite magical.
5. I am nearly booked out for the next week in babysitting WHICH MEANS MAJOR $$$$ WHICH MEANS COFFEE!!!!

8. I OFFICIALLY OWN A YOGA MAT and begin class next Wednesday....
9. I'm getting a laptop very soon!
10. I discovered just how easily people are influenced/changed by the people they hang around.......

So there you have it folks. My life for you. IT GETS BETTER! Promise....*awkward silence*

Bom Chikka Wow Wow

So I take back what I previously said about Wuthering Heights. Despite me implying that it was lame/social suicide, I have given it a chance and have continued reading AND IT IS AWESOME . Most of the time I don't really understand/get into period novels, however Wuthering Heights is an exception. SERIOUSLY. GO AND BORROW IT.

The first day back at school-the first day of YEAR 12 *gasp*-was not that exciting, although I DID hang at Fox Studios in my double free period (eating a cup full of whipped cream). After this pleasurable, relaxing period (like my adjectives?), I returned to school to discover that I was expected to remain at school for the entire triple maths, despite me having dropped the subject. You can imagine my reaction when my teacher informed me of this. Not. Cool.

P.S. I have 5 things I need to say.
1. Today was significant in the fact that I found my future bed/bedrom/flat.

Talk about space-efficient/PURE AWESOMENESS
2. Aquariums make me happy

3. I want a boom-box for summer.

4. I really need to party in the near future.

5. I NEED TO FIND MY MATHS TEXT BOOK. If I don't find it, I will have to pay for a new one, i.e. money which I would much rather spend on coffee.

P.P.S.
I. Cant. Wait.

AND SCHOOL RETURNS, MY FELLOW CYBER CITIZEN FOLKS. I'm actually not that devastated as
A) These holidays were awesome
B)My sunburn has significantly gone down
C)I'M NOT DOING MATHS FOR YEAR 12 (this is the best reason)
D)I get 13 free periods a week to work on my major works which I have ideas/inspirations for...so much freedom!!!!!
E)When I finish the HSC I can GO TO GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL

See? Year 12 won't be that terrible, but I know that this time next year, when I'm pulling my hair out over the looming HSC exams and struggling to finish my major works by the deadline, I'll re-read this and laugh at how optimistic I was.

Today has been quite pleasant...far better than yesterday. Our entire family (including the dogs) went to Edmunds and Greer for coffee, and the lady who owns the shop came up to take our order, then realised it was us, wrote down all our orders (1 large skinny hot chocolate, two large skim cappuccinos, one large skim flat white, and one small cappuccino) from memory and walked back inside. I think we do go there too much. However, this will not stop me, or the rest of the family from going.

I am now drinking 1.5 litres of water from an empty juice bottle in a lame attempt to once again be healthy, and this afternoon I may or may not be meeting up with ELENI who has returned to the land of Oz. She called last night and I think I deafened her from screaming/asking questions/OMG-ing.

And she met Dakota Fanning in Paris. DAKOTA FANNING. Her clothes are TO DIE FOR. Snaps for her stylist.

Laters my friends, and go out and enjoy this lovely weather. Not that I can talk though, as I'm sitting inside on the computer.

UPDATE: I just took my red-nail polish off (WITHOUT spilling the remover on the floor-boards like last time) and I'm going to attempt to do this.

I still haven't gotten blue tips yet...and I just found this photo and I love how she has blue streaks...but then when it looses colour I can't just chop it off, so I don't think I'm game enough. But still, it looks great.

I have also decided that I love Jessica Stam's style, and she is now on my Style Icons list on the side of the page.

NOW GO OUTSIDE and be happy like these girls.
