WOW.

Today I:
-Studied
-Ate the cupcakes that I cooked (SO GOOD HEGISUOSDFHGIUHADFLGIUDFNSJKGNDF)
-Studied
-Drank coffee
-Minded the house while my brother was at hospital after breaking his thumb
-Applied for jobs (decided it was time to get off my lazy ass and do something about my lack of financial resources)
-I'm absolutely obsessed with the voice of an amazingly-talented girl who has a Youtube channel where she uploads videos of her singing. She is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I've been listening to her all day whilst studying.  She auditioned for the UK X-Factor a couple of weeks ago (click here for her audition), and they think she's going to win! I'm so jealous of her Irish accent! Here's one of my favourite videos of her singing:

That blog post with the really, really long quiz because the girl who writes for the blog was bored

Today I studied and cooked brownies. You know you're a HSC student when the closest you get to exercising is un-stacking the dishwasher.
I'm really bored, and seeing as though I kind of gave up on the Blog Challenge, I thought that a good way to pull through this phase of boredom would be to do a quiz. If you are as bored as me, read it! If you aren't bored, read it anyway. Just cause I'm cool
Let’s start it off with, why are you single?
I'm not-I'm in a mental relationship with One Direction.

How much cash do you have on you right now?
$4.20. I went to Edmunds and Greer with Christopher and we went a bit overboard with the macaroons...
What do you carry on you at all times?
My iPhone (in all it's cracked-screen glory)
Has anyone disappointed you recently?
Yeah. I thought Harry Styles would ask me out sooner.(Look him up)
Would you rather be the heart breaker or get your heart broken?
Hmmmmm I think be the heart breaker, as bad as that sounds. I'd just say sorry afterwards (does that compensate....?)
Last awkward situation?
My life.
If you married the last person you messaged on fb, what would your last name be?
Chloe Cox.
How do you feel about changes?
LOVE IT!
Is it easy for someone to make you smile?
Yes! I literally smile at anything. I'm smiling answering this question.
Do you think age matters in relationships?
Well they say 'love has no age', but most reasonably normal human beings would thing that a 60 year old dating a 17 year old is more babysitting than dating (unless you're Phoebe). I think once you hit university it doesn't really matter, but I personally wouldn't date anyone more than 4 years older.
Are you tired?
Well wouldn't you be too, if you had been studying since 9am?
Were you happy when you woke up today?
I woke up nice and comfy, and then it dawned on me that my HSC is in 3 weeks and that I needed to spend the entire day studying. Luvin' lyf23333

What color is your hair?
Cool question. For the record my hair is dark blonde, usually dyed brown because I'm kewl.
What’s something you really want right now, be honest?
To give the HSC my best shot, and then for it to be over.
When’s the last time you cried?
Last week after graduation.
What do you want for Christmas?
image
When was the last time you were told you were amazing?
OmG lyk3333 @!llll da tyme33333 <3 <3
Are you mad at someone right now?
Hamlet. And Italo Calvino for that matter.
Missing someone?
Of course!
Has anybody ever given you butterflies?
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.
Is it hard for you to get over someone?
Very hard. It's pretty pathetic!
Is your bedroom window open?
Yepp.
Has anyone told you they missed you lately?
Yes :) But I'm in voluntary solitary confinement until the conclusion of my HSC.
Are you afraid of needles?
ARE YOU PSYCHIC!? So, so scared.
Do you think someone is thinking about you right now?
You? You are asking me these questions, after all. Trolololololol.
What is the last thing you did before you went to bed last night?
Studied. Yeah, I lead a really exciting life.
Is there someone that makes you happy every time you see them?
Of course! Doesn't everyone?
What do you hear?
Phoebe calling our dog. Wont. Stop. Barking. The dog that is, not Phoebe. I'M SO FUNNY AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. AND OVERTIRED HAHAAHAHAHA.
Are you excited for tonight?
Study. Omag@wd lyk3333 sh00o0o0oo00 exshited lyk3sss omg <3
What is your biggest pet peeve?
When people say 'YOOO-HOOOOOO!!!".
Do you cry if you see someone you love crying?
Yeah, sometimes I do. Especially when my Mum cries!
Have you ever told anyone straight to their face that you don’t like them?
Haha wow. Maybe? I honestly can't remember.
Have you ever done anything illegal?
Yah mun.
Do you toss and turn for hours at night or do you just fall straight to sleep?
I fall straight to sleep like a dead bunny.
Is there anything you need to buy at the store right now?
COFFEEEEEEEEEE X10000
What’s worse, ignorance or stupidity?
Ignorance by far! Ignorance makes me sick.

A website for an event I'm going to next week!
Would you date someone three years older than you?
Not while I'm in high school, no.
Have you ever given your all to someone just to have them walk away?
Ehhhhh perhaps.
Has a boy/girl ever called you babe/baby?
Yeaaaaahh. Hate it!
Are you shorter than your mom?
She’s shorter than me.
Would you get married if you could right now?
Harry Styles or George Craig. Both are British musicians/long curly hair. I'd be happy to marry them both. The offer's there boys.
Does anyone completely understand you?
Yepp. Only a couple of people though, because I am one craaazzzyyy child.
Do you write how you speak?
Yes.
Do you hate the person you fell hardest for?
Trolololololol
Do you know anyone who doesn’t smoke pot?
Yeah brooo. Stonerszzz ain't my type of crewwww.
Name a time you thought you were going to die?
When I was lying in the middle of the road at night with friends, and all of a sudden a car came flying down the street at full speed.
Do you miss the way things used to be?
Change=GOOD.
Will tomorrow be better than today?
I'm guessing it'll probably be the same (Edmunds and Greer for coffee, studying until bed. I'm really cool/rebellious).
Have you ever had a best friend of the opposite sex?
Yepp!
When’s the last time you had a real smile on your face?
Answering some of these questions.
You’re thinking of someone right now aren’t you?
Maybe yes, maybe no.
When was the last time you were in a very good mood?
Walking home from having coffee with my little brother!
Can you sleep without blankets covering you?
Depends if I've just watched a scary movie or not!

10234563 and 5356345 days
Are you spoiled?
I wouldn't say spoiled?
How do you vent your anger?
On this blog!
What theme does your room have?
Messy.
Today, would you rather go back a week or go forward a week?
Go back a week to relieve those precious last days of high school!
How many chances do you tend to give people before enough is enough?
Waaayyyy more than I should!
Do you believe in love?
Yes, I do. I also believe that teenage love is a superficial version of what's to come.
Are all girls shit talkers and bitches?
Definitely not.
What’s so special about your name?
I was named after Dad's neighbours old cat?
How’s your heart lately?
Beating. It's all gewwwd.
Do you think anyone has feelings for you?
Trololololololol.
Is there anyone who doesn’t like you?
Yep! They're just missing out xoxoxoxoxxoxoxox
Who was the last person to yell at you?
Mothership, when she saw the mess I made after making cupcakes.

Hell to tha nooo.Pasty as a clown in solitary confinement.

My grandparents (parents rejected me for a romantic getaway)
Could you go out in public looking like you do now?
OMG no. HSC does bad things to one's fashion sense. Baaaddd things.
Do you believe ex’s could really ever be “just friends”?
I guess it depends if you ended on a good note or not.
The person you HAVE or HAD strongest feelings for dies, do you care?
Uhhhhhh YES!??? I'm not a block of cement!? I HAVE FEELINGS YAAAA KNOW!?
Do you believe that your first love can be your only love in life?
Paaaaahhh @ teenage love. Yes, I'm cynical.
If I looked on your bedroom floor right now, what would I find?
Floorboards/notes/clothes/pens/books.
Have you kissed the last person you texted?
My Mum? On ze cheek.
Where was the last place you fell asleep other than your bed?

Stories of a high school graduate...

Here is a 'BULLET-POINT UPDATE' on the life of Chloe, the high school graduate as of two days ago.

  • After watching Ratatouille whilst babysitting yesterday, I decided that I'm going to learn to cook. There, I said it. I'M GOING TO LEARN HOW TO COOK. It dawned on me that with my cooking skills (or profound lack thereof), how am I going to survive when I move out? No Chloe, you can't eat two minute noodles and microwavable soup for breakfast lunch and dinner every day.
  • I've become addicted to TapTap. It's kind of embarrassing. Minus the 'kind of'. I think anyone would agree that getting 95% on 'Extreme' mode is pure embarrassment, and a sign that I should stop playing before my fingers fall off.
  • I've started studying for my final exams. I'm putting in the extra effort because we're on the 'final home stretch' of Year 12. I've written out a timetable that lasts until the end of the HSC called the 'HSC STUDY TIMETABLE: THE 2011 DO OR DIE EDITION'. The real challenge is to actually STICK TO IT.
  • Mum and Dad are on a romantic getaway for their wedding anniversary, so my grandparents are looking after Chris (little brother), Phoebe and I. Last night we were playing cards, and it's a joke within our family that Nan always cheats at cards (She doesn't actually cheat, that's why it's funny). I joked last night that if I speak at her funeral, I'll ask everyone to remember her as the "One who cheated at cards". Nan's response was priceless. She said "Chloe if you do that, I'll haunt you in your bed. Not scary haunting, but cuddle-haunting". Looking forward to future 'Haunting cuddles' with Nan.
  • I also had the BEST conversation with my little brother. Finally I've got the chance to play the 'cool' big sister. He told me that he really likes a girl called Ruby, but also that she doesn't like him back, and he wants me to help her like him. Tomorrow Chris and I are riding our bikes secretly to her house and leaving a little bunch of lavender tied with a ribbon on her doorstep!
  • Remember how I wrote about the band One Direction, that I'm fan-girling over? Well Phoebe and I found the most HILARIOUSLY LAME fan Tumblr, called 'Cute1DFantasies'. Click here to experience it's lameness. Basically it's a Tumblr that 13 year olds write into describing their 'cute fantasies', and the person who runs the Tumblr publishes them in 'cute colours and fonts'. Phoebe and I found it's lameness so hilarious that we were nearly crying of laughter, and as a joke we wrote in with the lamest, 'cute fantasies' we could think of, just to see if they would get published. They did. SUCH A WIN! The one that I submitted that got published was a paragraph that was entirely one sentence. Wiewwww.
  • I found the piece that the chamber orchestra played at my graduation on Thursday. It's so beautiful hguipsdhtgpdfuojsgnds. Please ignore the random pictures displayed throughout the video (...?)

The end's not near, it's here.

WARNING: Overly emotional/unstable  teenager
On the morning of my last day of high school I was at my train station, and I walked past the boy who gave me a rose on my last day of primary school. It got me thinking. On that final day of primary school it felt like the world was coming to an end. My friends, who I had been with since I started kindergarten aged 4, were all going separate ways. It was the most important day of my life thus far, and we all promised to be best friends forever, to have reunions, and to always come back and visit the teachers. Fast forward to Year 12, and I laugh when I think of primary school, and how insignificant the last day of Year 6 was. I've never gone back to visit, and I only keep in touch with about 5% of my Year 6 classmates.

Will I look back on the final day of Year 12 in the same way, 6 years from now?
No. With these people I'm genuinely going to be life-long friends. With these people I've laughed until I thought I was going to die from chest pains, cried about two Olympic Pool's worth of tears, matured into a reasonably adult-like 17 year old, been excessively immature, have had many "low points", however endless amounts of amazing, happy memories that I'll be thinking about when I'm an old grandma sitting on a rocking chair on the back porch of my retirement village. The fact that we've all figured out who we are together, and still all remain close friends means that our friendships will stand the test of time. Even if I'm not going to be seeing them five days a week! Although cheesy, the "Graduation Song" by Vitamin C has a lot of truth to it.
"As we go on, we remember/All the times we had together/And as our lives change, from whatever/We will still be, friends forever"

Yesterday was our graduation, and it was a really beautiful ceremony. We had the chamber orchestra play, heard amazing speeches from peers and our year adviser, and received our final portfolios. At the time I didn't think it was really the end. We've still got to complete our final exams, we have our formal, presentation day, and we'll be seeing each other countless times in the future. It was at home when it hit me, and I started crying. I'm not going to see these people every day, like I have for the past however many years. Some I may never see again, teachers included. Reading the amazing messages that people wrote in the back of my yearbook made me realise how precious the friendships that you form and consolidate in high school really are. While graduation isn't the end of these friendships, will they ever be a strong as they were during high school? I really hope will, because the relationships I have made with these people are definitely worth keeping forever.

Finishing high school is like being thrown into deep water. You struggle at first, but then eventually find your way back to the surface. For that I'm nervous and excited. Now it's all up to me. How I spend my days; how I spend the rest of my life. That's what's both scary and exciting- I can now begin to fulfill the dreams that have been swirling around in my head since Year 7, or Kindergarten for that matter. The scary part is that the onus is all on me. Will I disappoint myself? What if the path is rocky? But then the excitement kicks in. You only learn from your mistakes.Things won't always fall into place, and sometimes alternative routes to my goals may lead to even better things.  The world is now my oyster, and it's time to make things happen.

Here's to the future!

Time to say goodbye.

Tomorrow I begin my final week of school. WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH #fml.

I've been thinking for a while about what to write here, in regards to the end of high school. Do I write about what I'm going to miss? Low points? High points? Today I'll begin with "What I'm going to miss".
WHAT I'M GOING TO MISS:
-First and foremost, my friends. Without friends, I'd be nowhere.
-The relationships that you have with teachers in year 12. They're more friends than teachers.
-Having somewhere to go every day-having school as a security blanket. Next year I could sit at home watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians for the entire day if I wanted to. NO CHLOE, NO.
-Buying $2 strawberry frozen yoghurt from the canteen on hot days.
-The common room. Dirty fridge, hot wall and poisonous heater included.
-My coffee parents at Central Station. I still don't know their names after 3 years.
-Spending free periods trawling the Top Shop and ASOS websites, but never buying anything.
-The tension when the final bell is about to go, and everyone is preparing to run for the first bus.
-That feeling of satisfaction when you finish a set of exams.
-Being a high school senior in general. Nothing is as liberating as wearing a year 12 jersey.
-My subjects. My major works were my babies, and I am really passionate about my subjects. It's sad that now it all comes down to a few final exams.
-Providing free therapy to each other!
-Walking to Fox Studios, buying $2 boiled rice and Subway cookies, and eating them on the grass.
-Free periods in the common room when the grade has maths.
-My year group. I couldn't have asked for a happier, more wonderful bunch of girls to spend the latter part of my high school career with.
-Buying $1.20 pink cupcakes every afternoon.
-Drooling over boy-bands.
-SCHOOL. Everything about it. I spent the majority of my junior years complaining about it, but now that it's actually coming to an end I've realised how lucky I've been.

WHAT I'M NOT GOING TO MISS:
-The uniform. It quite literally looks like a piece of shit.
-The bus-stop in the morning. There's nothing quite like 14 year old boys pushing and shoving their way onto the bus to start your morning. Last week the bus driver told them to let a group of girls on first, and one shouted "WHY!?".
-Exam periods. Enough said.
-Hot days in class with no air-conditioning (public schools 4lyfeee xoxo).
-Angry teachers.
-The night before an assignment is due.
-Morning classes (having to catch a 7.00 train to get there).
-Not having enough money to buy a coffee.
-Annoying junior students.
-Pressure.
-Those days when you have zero motivation.

We had our muck-up assembly on Friday, complete with a dubstep cover of our school song, our skit "Finding Mimmo" (of which I was the narrator), our own version of "Under the Sea", and an emotional medley of songs at the end. The theme was "Oceans 11" (Because we are the class of '11..derrrp), so we all looked pretty cool in our sea-themed costumes. I was Mamma Mermaid, and wore the mermaid tail that I wore to my 5th birthday party (don't ask), a stupid hat, and an apron with dolphins on it. I'm really cool.

Yesterday my friend Cam got married, and it was one of the most BEAUTIFUL weddings I have ever seen. The church was just like the one which I posted a while ago (where Kate Moss got married), and the amazing weather made the scenery look like it was out of a fairy tale. Oh, and Cam looked INCREDIBLE! If I ever get married I'm just going to show a wedding planner a picture of Cam's wedding and say "do this kthnxbi".

I hope that you all click cross on my blog right now and go out and enjoy the sunshine (if you live in Sydney). STOP BEING A CYBER HERMIT AND LIVE LIFE! (I should really take my own advice). Today was semi-productive though- I wrote a giant list of things to do in the period between the end of the HSC and the commencement of uni. It's going to be awesome. Enough said.

P.S. I absolutely love a good cartoon. This one is wonderful! It's exactly what I think about when I sit out and look at the stars (yes, I know that I'm lame). Star-watching really puts things in perspective.

P.P.S. Click here for an amazing audition on the X-Factor! She's incredible.

TROLOLOL.

So this morning year 12 organised a "Champagne Breakfast" at a park next to our school to celebrate our final days of school. About half-way through we noticed a woman standing with her dog behind a tree. On her phone. Looking at us. We slowly and subtly put the champagne away, and two girls went down to walk past her and suss out what she was doing. However, as soon as they got near her she started briskly power-walking in the opposite direction.
We return to our breakfast.
Then a police car turned up.
We quickly put the drinks away, and the car just did a loop and drove off into the distance. Well all returned to our breakfast. Then our school deputies turned up. Basically we told them that we were only drinking non-alchoholic wine, and offered them some of our pastries and fruit. They were really nice, and just told us that school started in 20 minutes and that we had to be in class. CLOSE CALL, close call. Lucky no-one was tipsy/drunk, or the end of the story wouldn't have been so pretty.

I've been a bit slack with the Blog Challenge, so I'll answer some now to catch up.
1. 5 things that irritate me about the same sex/opposite sex.
I couldn't really name 5 specific things. It really depends on the type of guy. There are some guys with more than 5 things that irritate me, and some with none.

2. The best thing that has happened to me this week.
Probably finding out that I came 3rd overall in Modern History! I worked really hard for the subject (I.e. neglected most of my other ones) so it was rewarding to see it pay off.

3. How I'd spend $10 000
Every dress of ASOS, holiday to Glastonbury Festival and around Europe, invest $1000, give a bit to charity, and put the rest into savings.

4. Would you rather be stranded on a desert island with someone you love for 10 years, or someone you hate for a month? Explain why.
I guess I'd go with the option "someone you hate for a month". While we'd ignore each other at first, eventually we'd get so desperate to interact with another human (to prevent us from going insane...think Cast Away) that we'd start conversing. And who knows, maybe we'd learn to like each other over time.

To finish off this post, I'm posting this video. Jamie Campbell Bower (actor/lead singer of The Darling Buds) is so talented. Who can sing that well when they're clearly off their face?

Day 8: Three wishes day
1. For a happy life filled with happy moments and happy people
2. To be able to look back on my life when I'm in a rocking chair and think "Wow...you rocked gaaaallfriend"
3. FOR THE HSC TO JUST FINISH ALREADY. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!?

So yesterday was the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. I honestly can't believe I was only seven years old when it happened- I still vividly remember that morning. Yesterday I was scrolling down my newsfeed and I was so sickened to see some of the comments people were making about 9/11, some even making jokes about it. Any loss of life is a tragedy. No wonder people think so lowly of our generation...

Here is a beautiful photo of the lights which shone from Ground Zero in the place of the towers. There's something about the lights hitting the clouds which gives me goosebumps.

We shouldn't only remember the horrors of the event however. I read an amazing article from the New York Times called "In Love with Death", and it's about how we should "recall the hour of human decency", along with grieving and war. Click here if you're interested in reading the article!

I'm hopeless.

I CAN'T EVEN DO A BLOG CHALLENGE PROPERLY! I was just scrolling through recent posts and saw that I did the question "A song to match your mood" twice. COME ON CHLOE. SERIOUSLY.

Day 8: Something that stresses you out
Apart from school/exams, there's something which makes me want to throw a brick at someone who is riding down a hill on a bicycle. It's when people go "Yooooo hooooo!". Just writing that gave me goosebumps. Yooooooo hooooooooooooooo! GENSJIRGARUIEGNLADJKFNGKADFJG.

Soooo the majority of today was spent babysitting a beautiful four year old called Elyse. Since most of the kids I babysit are 10-14 year old boys, this was a MAJORRRR change. I literally had to watch her the entire time. Even when I'd put on a movie hoping that she'd sit down and WATCH IT she'd walk around and ask to play Mums and Dads. I put on the Barbie movie "Princess and the Pauper", and I am humiliated to say that I got so emotionally caught up in the story-line that I failed to notice that she was sucking the inky end of a texta, and that her teeth were now blue. After a minor freak out over the fact that her teeth could now be blue forever as a result of me getting caught up in a Barbie movie, I took her to a park for a play. For some reason she began to call me Mum, and you can imagine the amount of funny looks I got from the various other mothers at the park....

Here is part one of the amazingly bad-so much so that it's amazingly good-movie that is Barbie in Princess and the Pauper. DON'T JUDGE. BARBIE IS COOL OK!?

OMG

GEORGE CRAIG.
IN SYDNEY.
ME COMPLETELY UNAWARE.
BEING A DJ AT THE BURBERRY STORE ON GEORGE ST.
NOW LEAVING TO GO BACK TO LONDON.
GEORGE CRAIG.
SYDNEY.
AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW!

Yeah, incase you didn't get the message, George Craig (the guy whose band (One Night Only) I've been a fan of since he was 17 and when nobody knew who they were/Burberry model/my future husband) has been in Sydney for the past 2 days to be a DJ at the new Burberry store on George St. And yeah, I had no idea. I stopped stalking his Twitter a while ago (Yes, I'm a loser), so I had no idea he was in my HOMELAND until Eleni texted me last night after she found out. And now he's leaving to return to London. I COOOOOULD HAVE MEEEETTTTTT HIIIMMMMM BOOOHHOOOOOOHOOOOOOO. BOOOHOOO. Boohooo. *Sniff*

Now for the today's question in the blog challenge:
Day 7: A song to match your mood
I'm pretty chill at thaa momento (drinking tea, Tumblring, waiting for my Oporto dinner), so I'd probably have to say "Yoko" by Pegasus Bridge. It's a really beautiful song. They did it for Burberry Acoustic (George Craig did an acoustic cover of Chemistry for Burberry Acoustic-click here if ya'll interested).

FAN GIRL CHLOBEWAN

Day 6: Something that you're looking forward to
I'm going to state the obvious: FINISHING SCHOOL!
The HSC is next month, and after a few weeks into it, I'LL BE FINITO! Then it'll be the time for schoolies, formals, FLYING TO THAAA YIEW-ESH-AAYY (USA), Christmas, New Years, and UNIIIII.
I just finished my personal statement for my scholarship application and it was a pretty weird feeling reflecting on everything that I've done throughout high school, and thinking about how close the end is. I know throughout the whole year I've been prepared to leave, but now it's sprung up on me and it's actually really sad! That said, Uni is going to be equally, if not more awesome.

Now for my post in relation to the title of this post (Yes, I like typing "post"). Throughout the past week I've released my inner fan-girl for three separate subjects:
1. One Direction: While they're songs are typical crappy boy-band pop, their music is ENJOYABLE crappy boy-band pop. Oh, and one of the singers, Harry, is 5 days older than me and has a beautiful voice and is generally beautiful and..and I'll stop now to save myself from further humiliation.Chloe? Liking a boy-band? Pffffftttttt no....*shifty eyes*
2. Boost Juice: For the past week Boost Juice have been doing daily challenges which you can do to get a free drink. Being the stingy student/Boost Juice loving weirdo I am, my friends and I have been just about every day to get free Boosts. I've sung "Fruit Salad" by the Wiggles, danced to "Can't Touch This", said "Fried fresh fish, thick thistle sticks, Barry's bright Boost bananas" five times in a row without a mistake, and today mimed being a blender for 30 seconds. There's not much I wouldn't do for free food.
3. Ban Ki-Moon: I was staying at my friend's apartment last night, and we saw a giant police escort pull up outside the Opera House. We ran into the Opera House to see if we could see anyone famous, without success. We went back outside, and stalked the number plates of some of the cars of the entourage which were parked, and we noticed that they said "Visitor of Australia", with special flags and all. Hanging around trying to find out who was inside, we asked a nice-looking granny if she knew, and all she said was "Have a nice night", and walked off. A bit disheartened, we went back to the apartment to get dinner ready, and when we went out to eat it on the balcony ALL THE CARS WERE NOW PARKED OUTSIDE THE APARTMENT! Turns out this mystery "famous person" was dining at Aria, the restaurant below my friend's apartment. Basically the end of the story revolves around us stalking the entourage for an hour and a half, and then at 11.30, in the span of about 30 seconds, Ban Ki-Moon comes out of the restaurant and into an awaiting car. COOL OR WHAAAAT!?!!?

Fathers Day Weekend mega-post.

Day 5: Something you're afraid of
I used to freak out whenever I was in a car going over a bridge, but I've gotten over that. I also used to have a REALLY bad fear of heights, but when I was at Disneyland I made myself go on the Tower of Terror, and since then I've been fine. Kewl stori bro.

NOTE: I intentionally didn't put an apostrophe in "Fathers" (in the title of this post) because WHERE IS IT SUPPOSED TO GO!? Before the "s"? NO. After the "s"? NO. So let's just avoid it all together to save me from grammatical damnation if I were to place the apostrophe in the wrong spot? YES.

This weekend was unique. I ACTUALLY DIDN'T SIT AT HOME WATCHING ENDLESS EPISODES OF FRIENDS AND KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS! Yes, you heard right. Chloe. Went. Outside.

Friday alone was quite jam-packed and fun-filled (yes, jam-packed and fun-filled). I got the last of my trials results back, English Extension, and I was actually relatively happy with them! Just glad the trials are now done and gone!  After school, I went to buy some new jeans. I brought my friend Alex, and I felt really sorry for her because I took such a long time going through all the different types of jeans. This is where I plan to begin my rant for this blog post: WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO JUST NORMAL JEANS!? I've always bought Levi skinny jeans. Nice and Easy. Find the style, find my size, buy. But no, Levis, in attempting to make their jeans avaliable to a wider market, have made it impossible for me to buy their jeans. I walked into David Jones, went straight to the Levi's section, and was met with their new "CURVE ID" range. If I have a larger ass, I buy one type, another type for big hips, and the list goes on. The problem was:
a) There were no normal skinny jeans for girls who don't have the qualifications for the other jeans (I.e. curves in one place or another).
b) I really liked the colour of the skinny jeans for the "DEMI" girls (I.e. girls with big hips). I don't have big hips, so none of them fitted me, which means that I couldn't get them. Basically there was ONE style which was for girls who aren't particularly curvy, and it wasn't even nice. Moral of the story? I bought the best jeans ever from Lee. Super skinny and a really nice colour.

After my jeans disaster, I went out for dinner for my friend's18th to an awesome place on Darling Harbour. The metre-long pizza's were amazing (especially the garlic chicken!). We then went to an insanely awesome karaoke place where I sung so many songs that I sounded like a 134 year old horse by the time I walked out. Upon walking out, I realised that the windows of our karaoke room were not tinted, so everyone on one of the busiest streets in Sydney could see in. That is, see my belting my heart out and dancing on tables.  I CAN NEVER SHOW MY FACE ON THAT STREET AGGGAAAAIIINNNN. On Saturday night, I went out for dinner with my extended family. I love interrogating younger cousins about their love lives.

Today has been awesome too. We woke up and had a Fathers Day breakfast (with cinnamon French toast and strawberries), and went to the Royal National Park. It was only when we had parked that Mum broke the news that we were going on a 4 HOUR HIKE. FOUR. HOUR. HIKE. You all know how unfit I am, and thus how horrified I was at the thought of having to move my legs constantly for 4 hours. Last time I went hiking it was in some mountains in California (where they filmed part of The Parent Trap), and since there were bobcats and bears, the people walking at the front and back of the hiking group had to carry guns. Yeah, wasn't too relaxing.
But today's hike was actually really enjoyable. The surrounds were so beautiful- the landscape changed from bushland, to desert scrubs, to the cliff tops. We found a beautiful creek which I'm going to remember for Summer- it was about 2 metres deep and crystal clear, with running water. By the end of the hike however, I was feeling pretty faint because I had run out of water and had only eaten two apples. Moral of the story: After a long hike eat a large McChicken meal. Fast food never tasted sooooo good.

I also found this beautiful photo on Dad's camera from when he visited my uncle who lives in Geneva, Switzerland. My uncle lives in one of the apartments across the river. SO. JEALOUS. Definitely paying him a visit when I have the $$.
