I WANT TO TRAVEL.

But I to do this I need a job, and to do that I need to stop sitting around on my ass and actually DO SOMETHING.
Too. Much. Effort.
I have officially made a pact with myself that I have to see Muse and One Night Only at Glastonbury Festival on the Pyramid Stage before I turn 18.

Here is Muse's performance of Time Is Running Out. Insane to the membrane. Skip to about the 50 second mark. Amazin-k

Alexander McQueen- fall collection

Inspired by the 90s grunge age, the fall collection has an intriguing mix of pattern, color and texture. Here are some highlights from the McQ Fall collection lookbook:

I'm McLovin' this girl's hair...

New song from One Night Only, AKA George Craig

Great song; video clip a tad random; Emma Watson couldn't act to save her life...

Last post for the day, promise

The year after I finish school I am going to fly away to Glasto Festival in Somerset, the largest music festival in the world, gumboots in hand. Take a look at the schedule of bands playing at this year's festival (which is on right now) and you may want to join me.

P.S
I want this hand bracelet. Looks really cool on- half bracelet, half ring/s

Naw.

From the Sydney Morning Herald:
It is one of the most iconic images of World War II, an anonymous young sailor dipping a nurse backward while giving her a kiss in Times Square on August 14, 1945.

The photograph by a Life magazine photographer, Alfred Eisenstaedt, symbolised the euphoria surrounding the news that the Japanese had surrendered and the war was over.

Edith Shain, a retired Los Angeles elementary school teacher who claimed to be the mystery nurse in the photo seen by millions around the world, died of cancer on Sunday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 91.

''Someone grabbed me and kissed me, and I let him because he fought for his country. I closed my eyes when I kissed him. I never saw him.''

Emma Watson deserves to die. At school, I made up a list of why she does not deserve to exist in this world any longer.
1. She is gorgeous
2. She is rich (highest paid star in Hollywood 2009)
3. Face of Chanel and Burberry (and is BFFLs with Karl Lagerfield)
4. She is Hermoine Granger, and in the greatest movies OF ALL TIME
5. She is at an IVY LEAGUE UNIVERSITY, and not even because she wants a job in that field, it's because she's doing it for fun
6. Has AMAZING CLOTHES! Even though I she deserves to die, I will admit that her taste in fashion deserves an applause
7. Grew up in Paris
8. Is BFFLS with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint
9. Has amazing hair

and finally, number 10, the key reason why she deserves to die:
10. SHE IS GOING OUT WITH GEORGE CRAIG! (if you are so behind in the times as to be unaware of who George Craig is, please refer to the blog post George Craig). Emma Watson could go out with any guy and out of all the fish in the pond she chooses my future husband. Smooth, Emma, REAAALL SMOOTTH

Oh, and they went together to GLASTO FESTIVAL. Yeah, the awesomest festival in the world in England, where I always talk of going when I eventually finish school. Emma Waton is officially ticking of my to-do list before I die. With style.

I do hate her, but her fashion really is amazing. To Glasto Festival, she managed to team a Louis Vuitton corset with denim shorts and the traditional Glasto Festival gumboots without looking like freak, she actually managed to fit in with the Glasto crowd.

I officially declare today a National Day of Mourning

JG

Unlike many people, I AM SO EXCITED for Julia Gillard as the new Prime Minister. We need change and a leader who is not all talk and actually keeps their promises. Although Kevin Rudd did save our economy and make it healthy again, Julia Gillard will actually (well, hopefully) bring the Labour Party back to actually being LABOUR, not some odd mesh of the two. It was so exciting to be watching the news live of the smartboard and to actually be part of history, seeing Australia's first female Prime Minister go to office. This day opens up so many opportunities for all females in not only our generation, but future generations to come.

I guess I am happy with anyone as our leader who isn't Tony Abbott, who is uptight, right wing, homophobic, conservative and who SHOULD NEVER be Prime Minister. If he wins the next election, I am moving countries. Just saying.

h2o

Although i'm not a fan of warm weather...I'm mcLoving this shoot. It's so natural and everything about it makes me want to jump right in the ocean right now..
P.s. I'm very suspicious as to how she isn't covered in goose bumps. Ahhh the wonders of photoshopping

Secondly, I really really really want to do this to my room's walls, but to do it I need a polaroid camera....anyone know where you can buy them that is pretty cheap in Australia?

And finally, I found these photos on someones Flickr (if thats how you spell it..?) and I couldn't resist putting them up on my page so I can look at them all the time. And no, they are not pictures of hot boys.

Keke Lindgard by Knoepful & Indlekofer for Vogue Germany July 2010

Taking high fashion looks to the skating park is an awesome idea to begin with. German Vogue fashion editor Nicola Knels pieces together an amazing wardrobe of ensembles from Giorgio Armani, Versace, Prada and others, and stars Keke Lindgard as the only girl in a group of rough and bad-ass skaterboys.

RIP

RIP Tom Nicon :(

In case you don't know who he is, Nic Hutton was the face of Burberry. During Men's fashion week there is a planned tribute to the young French model (he was only 22).The suicide of one so young seems especially tragic. His friends and family had no idea Nicon was so depressed, and apparently he took his life over a broken heart:( RIP

Below are some shots of him; the black and white ones are for Burberry and the others are a couple from a magazine editorial which I loved :)

Camp report

I need to vent:
THE FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION AT CAMP WAS SOOOO BAADDDDDDD!
The menu consisted of ham sandwiches, watery rice, and various other meals which left me no other option but to resort to the cup noodles which I packed in my suitcase. They also only served us WATER at night, leaving me thirsty throughout the duration of the days which consisted of seminars concerning 'Study Skills'. The accommodation made jails look like the Park Hyatt.

On a lighter note, the landscape was beautiful. It was amazing that it was only a 40 minute drive from the city and it was that relaxing, it felt like I was on the coast some 6 hours away. Some of the seminars were really interesting, including one on time management, which I really tried to listen to, trying not to fall asleep after watching Buffy all night (Riley and Spike are really sexy). We also had a guy come and talk to us about date rape and somehow managed to make it really enjoyable and funny! I learnt that the best method to get out of a bad situation is rather than trying to punch them down and run, go along with it then ask to go to the bathroom, then leave from there. HOW SMART IS THAT!?

On another lighter note, our grade watched the movie Lars and the Real Girl. Ryan Gosling. Yes. He is such an amazing actor and the movie in general is really something special. It was our last camp for high school, and even though it was bad accommodation, food, and one to many prank calls, anything that involves my friends means that I have the best time ever (cheesy I know...)

Thankyou for putting up with my rant. Now for some pretty pictures which sum up my mood now i'm Home, Sweet Home.

It's raining and cold outside...
