I have the sniffles.

I must admit I felt very, very sorry for the poor old lady who was unfortunate enough to have to sit next to me on the train trip to regional athletics. Every 10 seconds I would do a disgusting *SNNIIFFF*, followed by a momentous blow into a worn-out, tearing tissue. I even gave myself a headache.

For now I am trying to finish my essay for Modern History on Anne Frank and her legacy. Five pages so far...yeah I'm cool like that. Now I just have to begin the treacherous journey of cutting it down to 1200 words....

P.S. the September issue of Vogue Australia is AH-mazing. Catherine McNeil (the cover girl) = massive babe. Great issue, I usually don't like the auzzie Vogue, but seriously, go and buy it. GO! NOW! Jokes, jokes, calm your farm. Now i'm just waiting for the American one so I can waste even more of my already limited financial resources....

P.P.S. Pad-Thai for dinner; sucked in to you.

Day 07

Day 07- A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you
This was actually a really difficult question, and it took me a while to think of something. Harry Potter, Mum and Dad, coffee, shoes, Tiffany and Co and Muse were options (yeah, I know, a tad superficial)...but I think the 'someone' which has had the greatest impact on me and how I see my life/the world is Kakooza Godfrey, my family's sponser child from Uganda. I can't post a photo of him (no photos of him on the computer), but all you need to know is that he is my age, living in completely different circumstances, and that he taught me to not take things for granted. It's been so good writing back and forth, knowing that through our monthly donations we are ensuring him a positive future :)

Day 06

Day 06: Your favourite superhero and why
I wish to differ, but I have to say CAPTAIN PLANET!

EARTH!
FIRE!
WIND!
WATER!
HEART!
Go Planet!
By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!
*doof doof doof*
Captain Planet, he's our hero
Gonna take pollution down to zero
He's our powers magnified
And he's fighting on the planet's side

Just because I know the lyrics doesn't mean I'm a freak....I used to wish I was a planeteer as a young, sweet, innocent 10 year old....I WAS 10 OK!!?

Besides, who can resist his blue muscles and his hippieness?

Day 05

Day 05: A picture of a place you have been to.

The markets on the America/Mexico border. One day in America Dad said we were going on a mystery drive...and we ended up going to Mexico. We weren't there for very long, but I was there long enough to see the severe poverty in the area; it was really sad. Tall boards surrounded the dirty streets with hundreds of photographs of adorable children, with the huge sign MISSING plastered at the top. I bought a little 'flip-flop' key-ring from a poor lady for $1, and it is still amongst my keys today.

P.S. Every since drama camp the weather has been really gloomy....even though I have a sore throat, rain is the perfect excuse for a hot cappacino, to drink and dunk chocolate macaroons in..

P.P.S. I thought this would make you laugh..

P.P.P.S I wish I was there right now....

GO! NOW!

My wonderful, talented friend Clare has a tendency to write amazing screenplays in her free time, and has began posting them on a blog for all to read. I recommend you taking the time to read them, as she's going to be famous one day...

Day 04: A habit you wish you didn't have.

The habit which really gets to me the most out of all is not being able to finish books. With the exception of Harry Potter, I have a filthy habit of never having enough patience to read a whole book, getting about half way before beginning another one and leaving the poor, lonely previous book alone on the floor next to my bed. When I hit the halfway line whilst reading, I ususally skip to the last page, find out what happens, then toss it aside.

Hope your day is going well :)

Goodnight Stranger

Day 03

Day 03- a picture of you and your friends

Above is a recent photo (very touristy, I know) of part of our gang at State Drama Camp....good times, good times.

I really should be studying for my maths test tomorrow, but the Topshop website is so full of awesome clothey goodness.

One day I am going to own these. Not to wear, but to stare at.

Day 02

To be honest, I actually have no idea why I called my blog Flower Girl. When I first created it it was called Chloe Annabelle's Blog (out of desperation), and one day I suddenly, and very randomly decided to call it Flower Girl.
When I think of the phrase Flower Girl, rather than thinking of the little girl at weddings in the cute dress throwing petals (I am very experienced in that area), I think of a free, life-loving, festival girl with a daisies hung around her hair...a tad random but I hope you get the sense of my mental image. I really wanted that 'mental' image that comes with the name to create that kind of atmosphere for my blog.
So now I think about it, it does have alot of meaning behind it, making me sound very sentimental. Hmmm.
Enjoy this fine Saturday stranger :)

PS.
I could do with one, or all of these right now.

PPS.
I am going to go out and buy more nail-polish.

PPPS. I wish I was there right now.

Friday, July 23, 2010

In case you have not noticed, I am kind of going through a phase of obsession with photography. Not my own, of course (although I am saving up for a camera). So please excuse my lack of words lately...although I can guarantee I will have loads to waffle about after drama camp. So until then, ciao x
