Skåne Län

Updates on my life:

1.I'm learning Swedish so I can talk to my friend Clare and no one will know what we're saying. Trippy.
2. I am now 4 days into year 12 and have ideas for all my major works, and have nearly chosen my Belonging related texts.
3. I haven't had a coffee all week and IT'S KILLING ME. I walk past two times every morning with the hope of scoring a free one but so far the plan has failed.
4. I saw Our Town at the Opera House, and the last act was quite magical.
5. I am nearly booked out for the next week in babysitting WHICH MEANS MAJOR $$$$ WHICH MEANS COFFEE!!!!
6. I love dumplings...and pork buns. I think I was Asian in a previous life.
8. I OFFICIALLY OWN A YOGA MAT and begin class next Wednesday....
9. I'm getting a laptop very soon!
10. I discovered just how easily people are influenced/changed by the people they hang around.......

So there you have it folks. My life for you. IT GETS BETTER! Promise....*awkward silence*

P.S. The 16 year old British diver Tom Daly is my new stalking subject.

Bom Chikka Wow Wow

So I take back what I previously said about Wuthering Heights. Despite me implying that it was lame/social suicide, I have given it a chance and have continued reading AND IT IS AWESOME . Most of the time I don't really understand/get into period novels, however Wuthering Heights is an exception. SERIOUSLY. GO AND BORROW IT.

The first day back at school-the first day of YEAR 12 *gasp*-was not that exciting, although I DID hang at Fox Studios in my double free period (eating a cup full of whipped cream). After this pleasurable, relaxing period (like my adjectives?), I returned to school to discover that I was expected to remain at school for the entire triple maths, despite me having dropped the subject. You can imagine my reaction when my teacher informed me of this. Not. Cool.

P.S. I have 5 things I need to say.
1. Today was significant in the fact that I found my future bed/bedrom/flat.

Talk about space-efficient/PURE AWESOMENESS
2. Aquariums make me happy

3. I want a boom-box for summer.

4. I really need to party in the near future.

5. I NEED TO FIND MY MATHS TEXT BOOK. If I don't find it, I will have to pay for a new one, i.e. money which I would much rather spend on coffee.

P.P.S.
I. Cant. Wait.

AND SCHOOL RETURNS, MY FELLOW CYBER CITIZEN FOLKS. I'm actually not that devastated as
A) These holidays were awesome
B)My sunburn has significantly gone down
C)I'M NOT DOING MATHS FOR YEAR 12 (this is the best reason)
D)I get 13 free periods a week to work on my major works which I have ideas/inspirations for...so much freedom!!!!!
E)When I finish the HSC I can GO TO GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL

See? Year 12 won't be that terrible, but I know that this time next year, when I'm pulling my hair out over the looming HSC exams and struggling to finish my major works by the deadline, I'll re-read this and laugh at how optimistic I was.

Today has been quite pleasant...far better than yesterday. Our entire family (including the dogs) went to Edmunds and Greer for coffee, and the lady who owns the shop came up to take our order, then realised it was us, wrote down all our orders (1 large skinny hot chocolate, two large skim cappuccinos, one large skim flat white, and one small cappuccino) from memory and walked back inside. I think we do go there too much. However, this will not stop me, or the rest of the family from going.

I am now drinking 1.5 litres of water from an empty juice bottle in a lame attempt to once again be healthy, and this afternoon I may or may not be meeting up with ELENI who has returned to the land of Oz. She called last night and I think I deafened her from screaming/asking questions/OMG-ing.

And she met Dakota Fanning in Paris. DAKOTA FANNING. Her clothes are TO DIE FOR. Snaps for her stylist.

Laters my friends, and go out and enjoy this lovely weather. Not that I can talk though, as I'm sitting inside on the computer.

UPDATE: I just took my red-nail polish off (WITHOUT spilling the remover on the floor-boards like last time) and I'm going to attempt to do this.

I still haven't gotten blue tips yet...and I just found this photo and I love how she has blue streaks...but then when it looses colour I can't just chop it off, so I don't think I'm game enough. But still, it looks great.

I have also decided that I love Jessica Stam's style, and she is now on my Style Icons list on the side of the page.

NOW GO OUTSIDE and be happy like these girls.

Press the play button or DIE.

Next time I bake cupcakes I am going to decorate them like these ones, and I'm going to take them to school as my lunch. WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THIS BEFORE. *Facepalm* DOOHH

The following image provided me with a little bit of entertainment on an otherwise boring day. Call me MIRITAMOKU.

AAAANNNDD finally, I had to post this because they are smooookin'.

So it's my second last day of holidays before I begin year 12 (AAAAHHH YEAR 12 @#$%) and I am so bored I have been reading Wuthering Heights. WUTHERING HEIGHTS. ON THE SECOND LAST DAY OF HOLIDAYS. And what's worse is that I have now put the book down and have come to sit on Facebook, where I'm guessing staying for the rest of the day, with the exception of coffee at Edmunds and Greer.

P.S. I LOVE Alexa Chung and Miley Cyrus's individual styles. Très funkylicious.

P.P.S. I'M IN LOVE WITH BALMAIN'S PARIS SHOW. Methinks I want it all.

Social Formalities

A Review:
I arrived with 'ma homies' at Kuan's house for pres where we did hair/makeup/ate Sumo Boiled Lollies that Nina brought back from her trip to Japan/drank Mother/watched weird stalkerish Tony (from Skins) montages on Youtube (if you too love Tony, click here). We then jumped in a taxi, which taught me the lesson 'NEVER CATCH TAXIS IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR MONEY'. Even as we sat in traffic the price on the screen was going up by 10 cents practically every 10 seconds. NFJLSDNFKLJDSNFJKSDN<------my anger.

With Sydney Harbor as the backdrop for the evening, the boat arrived to the (very crowded) dock, where everybody was taking the sterotypical/cliche formal photos (facing the side, smiling cheesily at camera with one leg sticking out) including me and my folks. IT WAS AN AWESOME BOAT (better than the various other formals' boats docking at the same warf). Everyone looked incredible , and as we boarded the boat we were met by hundreds of pink and white iced cupcakes which were SO GOOD (I threw my 'healthy eating' plan out the window for the day). My friends and I bolted up the stairs to the open area up the top of the boat where there were lounges and candles, and named the area 'Depressed and Dateless' (it was a joke...but still). I basically stayed there for the majority of the night, catching up with friends and occasionaly getting up to dance awkwardly in my heels, mocking the gangsters gabbering (my idea of fun). . Overall it was a memorable night, and the backdrop was breathtaking.

RATING: 7.5

And now for the 'P.S's' which have become a regular occurrence on my blog.

P.S. I really REALLY (times infinity) want a denim vest with studs. GGAAHH. If I didn't have my BLODDY COFFEE ADDICTION I would have money to BUY ONE.

P.P.S. With Eleni arriving home from Europe soon, I have decided that I WANT/NEED TO TRAVEL THE WORLD.

MISS ME?

If you didn't, don't bother answering...CAUSE IM STILL BACK IN SYDNEY!

The Family Surfing Trip wasn't so bad after all. Despite me getting sunburnt to the point where I couldn't move properly (and still am struggling..Mum thinks it is a 2nd degree burn), and getting stung by a blue-bottle, IT WAS AWESOME! A getaway from the cold and depressing Sydney was just what I needed both physically and mentally. It was so nice just to lie on the beach (Hyams Beach being one of those beaches, which, may I add, has the whitest sands in the entire world..it's in the Guinness Book of World Records...check it. I dare you). I also had the chance to buy bags of stuff-new denim shorts (the style I have been looking for), books (from a cheap, little, second-hand book store in Mogo), fudge, headbands/bracelets/bangles, and new sunnies. And I only had to pay for the fudge. Aaahh the joys of parents' wallets.

So here I am, pink as a flamingo on fire, and have just finished meditating (something I have started these holidays). I now stretch every morning and night, have signed up for yoga, and I take a bath twice a week (whilst reading/eating dark chocolate if avaliable). I also write in my diary (just wrote 8 pages...hopefully I'll actually continue writing unlike numerous previous attempts), read ALOT (I read 7 books while I was away) and have started TO EAT HEALTHILY (with the exception of coffee....but that's a drink so it doesn't count). Our family bought an APPLE SLICER (GET ONE, I CAN GUARANTEE IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER), which you place on top of your apple, press down, and TA-DA *insert applause and trumpets* your apple is now in perfect slices, with the core taken out. Pure.Magic.

There you have it folks, The Family Surfing Trip, summarized in two paragraphs. COMING UP ON CHLOE'S AGENDA: The Social Cruise (I'm wearing a vintage-style black dress with red heels), and SCHOOL. I still can't decide whether I am excited or scared about returning for year 12- I guess it's abit of both. It honestly feels like yesterday when I began year 7, yet it's amazing how much times have changed since then. It makes me wonder where I'll be in 5 years, hopefully completing a law degree and being able to speak Spanish fluently...a girl can dream, right?

Bye. Ta Ta. Laters. Go outside and ENJOY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!

P.S. Do this. It changes your perspectives on things.

Loving this Sunday morning

Just finished some orange juice (with lots of pulp, just how I like it) and a fresh baguette from the bakery around the corner. Now off to go shopping for the BONDS TUBE BRA, and the pair of shoes that I missed out on two days ago. Ta ta.
P.S. Go onto Google, type in Who's the cutest, and click the 'I'm feeling lucky' button.

WHAT A #$5^&^%$ JOKE

Today was a abit on the stranger side. I won the Best and Fairest Award at the hockey presentation day ( very, very unexpected) , AND THE AFL GRANDFINAL'S RESULT WAS A DRAW! A DRRRAAAWWW. Due to the pathetic money-gaining-based AFL rules, rather than having ten minutes extra time, there has to be A REPLAY NEXT WEEK. What do we call it? The Grand Final Final, The Grand Grand Final, The Grand Final Part 2, or The Grand Final: THE EPIC FINALE....?. What ever it is eventually called it still reeks of $$.

Random thought: Babysitting is the best job ever. How often do you get paid to sing Toxic by Britney all night? AND you don't need to pay tax.

So after this eventful and slightly strange day, off down South. I will be travelling to numerous places for a 'surfing holiday' visiting friends along the way. Unless I find an internet cafe/computer it looks unlikely that I will be able to post anything for around 2 weeks. Waaaaaaaaaaa. But as much as I'll miss you Internet, I think it will be beneficial for both of us if we spend some time apart. For me to, you know, experience the real world? Taa. Chloe.
