Loving this Sunday morning

Just finished some orange juice (with lots of pulp, just how I like it) and a fresh baguette from the bakery around the corner. Now off to go shopping for the BONDS TUBE BRA, and the pair of shoes that I missed out on two days ago. Ta ta.
P.S. Go onto Google, type in Who's the cutest, and click the 'I'm feeling lucky' button.

WHAT A #$5^&^%$ JOKE

Today was a abit on the stranger side. I won the Best and Fairest Award at the hockey presentation day ( very, very unexpected) , AND THE AFL GRANDFINAL'S RESULT WAS A DRAW! A DRRRAAAWWW. Due to the pathetic money-gaining-based AFL rules, rather than having ten minutes extra time, there has to be A REPLAY NEXT WEEK. What do we call it? The Grand Final Final, The Grand Grand Final, The Grand Final Part 2, or The Grand Final: THE EPIC FINALE....?. What ever it is eventually called it still reeks of $$.

Random thought: Babysitting is the best job ever. How often do you get paid to sing Toxic by Britney all night? AND you don't need to pay tax.

So after this eventful and slightly strange day, off down South. I will be travelling to numerous places for a 'surfing holiday' visiting friends along the way. Unless I find an internet cafe/computer it looks unlikely that I will be able to post anything for around 2 weeks. Waaaaaaaaaaa. But as much as I'll miss you Internet, I think it will be beneficial for both of us if we spend some time apart. For me to, you know, experience the real world? Taa. Chloe.

DO DA DO

TODAY:
I trekked it out to the Shire (didn't see any Hobbits, much to my disdain), to meet up with my friend Alex, buying a coffee (skim capp. 1 sugar) from Edmunds and Greer. I go there so often I expect them in the near future to either rename the shop Chloe and Saintilan, or establish a private booth in the corner with plush blue cushions/bed/TV just for me. And the occasional guest, of course.

At Miranda, I was to realise I only had $10 on me. Thinking that I wouldn't be able to purchase anything with that seemingly low amount of $$ I wandered around the shops aimlessly, until...wait for it...I FOUND A DRESS FOR $10! It is GORGEOUS! It is sleeveless, stripy (navy blue and white) and really stretchy. My friend Alex warned me that maybe this dress was an impulse buy, and that I might find something better for $10. Being Chloe, I ignored her and proceeded to purchase the dress.

We then walked across the shopping centre, and at a shoe shop, the shoes which I had printed off the store's website and had stuck on my wall, which were listed as $50, had been reduced to TEN BLOODY DOLLARS. I then RAN MY LITTLE HEART OUT back to the 'dress' store, and they wouldn't give me a refund as it was a sale item. I was not a happy human being at that point in time, and struggled to control myself as I strutted out the door, muttering obscene words -usually condoned in society- under my breath. So there you have it folks, the moral of today is never to purchase something just because it's cheap- you may just find something better later, elsewhere. Just recounting this event in time has MADE MY RED BLOOD BOIL.

When I got home the phone rang, and I answered it grudgingly. 'Hello it's Chloe here who is it please?' (my usual answering sentence. Lame as it is, I have been doing it since I was 8 years old, it's become a habit SO DEAL WITH IT). AND GUESS WHO WAS AT THE END OF THE PHONE LINE:

ELENI ALL THE WAY FROM ATHENS! She was getting on a sea-plane to go to Santorini (a Greek Island- GOOGLE IT)!. I was screaming pretty loud as you would have guessed.

I am now off to babysit across the road until midnight. Farewell, cyberspace citizens, for the night being.

P.S. These holidays I am going to head out to the Glebe and Bondi markets..to..you know....FIND AWESOME (CHEAP) STUFF. Gotta problem with that? JOIN ME!

P.P.S. When I'm all grown up, I am going to show an interior designer this photo and demand them to make a study for my exactly the same, or I'll ask for a refund. Book included. KTHANXBI.

Here comes the sun (do do do do)

I'm making an effort to get out of the house to prevent me of having a repeat of yesterday: lounging around the house doing nothing. Unlike some people, while I do enjoy the occasional sleep in, I have to be doing things, I hate sitting down with out anything to do. I sound like a bit of a 10 year old, but I'm sure you could agree with me when I say that sitting at home doing nothing is a pretty depressing way to spend the holidays. So I'm off to Miranda to meet my friend Alex (via Edmund's and Greer), and will probably come home late afternoon to try and tan on the trampoline. Sounds like a pretty good day to me.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:

HOW INSANE DOES THE NEW TRAILER FOR HARRY POTTER 7 LOOK! CLICK HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT

I wonder where in the world Eleni is right now..maybe the City of Lights?

I thought this photo is really insane in the awesomest insane-esque way possible. I've made a pact with my self that one day I am going to sit in that spot and get someone to take a photo of me just like this one.

Taa Taa fellow cyber citizens. NOW GO OUTSIDE AND RELISH THE SUN!

Why!?

DO I HAVE TO BE SO DAMN TALL. If only I could wear heels as amazing as these without making the Eiffel Tower look diminutive.....Aaahh a girl can dream.

Kinda sorta.....

Today was the first official day of holidays. Last night I watched and loved the Season 2 premiere of Glee = SO GOOD! Although I did love the episode, I hate the actress who plays 'Sunshine', the new exchange student, as before she went on the show she GOT BOTOX WHEN GLEE PRIDES ITSELF ON PROMOTING HOW ONE SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH HOW THEY LOOK AND ACCEPT THEMSELVES FOR WHO THEY ARE. Grrrrrrrrrr. Despite my hatred for 'Sunshine' (ironic name, I know), I CANT WAIT (use of capitals=extra excitement) for next week's BRITNEY EPISODE!

After the epidode came to an end, I trodded upstairs to my room and fell asleep thinking about the glorious fact that I could sleep in until 11 am in the morning if I wished, AS SCHOOL IS OUT! I awoke at 6.00 am. Joy.
My first day of holidays was spent finishing The Great Gatsby (which was great; can't wait to study it in English next term), and reading around 50 pages of Mein Kampf, by Adolf Hitler, which has inspired me for my Extension 2 English major work, where I am going to write an essay on Political Literature/Propoganda (such as Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto). Don't know what specific area yet, but I know for sure I'll do it in that area, and maybe tie it in with my previous idea of studying the death/deconstruction of public language. The rest of the day was spent sleeping on the trampoline. How truly splendid. In exactly 58 minutes I will leave to pick my little brother up from school and meet my mother at Edmunds and Greer.

I have made the life-changing decision that I want to wear a headband like the ones in the photographs below to the Semi-Formal next week, as the theme is 'Casino Royale'. I think I saw one at General Pants for around $20 so I'll check it out tomozza.

Laters.

P.S. Do you like the photo behind 'Flower Girl'? I do. Me likey.
P.P.S. Doesn't the picture below look like it's Never Land from Peter Pan? I'm going to live there one day. On a boat. Everyday I'll sing IM ON A BOAT, IM ON A BOAT

P.P.P.S SMOKING IS NOT SEXY.....with the exception of this photo and this photo only

ACTUAL FREEDOM

EXAMSAREOVEREXAMSAREOVERSEXAMSAREOVEREXAMSAREOVEREXAMSAREOVEREXAMSAREOVEREXAMSAREOVER
Please press play and crank up the volume if you too have finished your exams, or are just overwhelmed with pure joy that THE HOLIDAYS HAVE ARRIVED!

CHLOE'S TO-DO LIST: The Holidays Edition
1. Tan
2. Buy lots of clothes
3. Read (Finish The Great Gatsby, read Eat Pray Love, and Mein Kampf)
4. Get back into surfing
5. Prepare for year 12 (I.e. BUY A NOTEBOOK COMPUTER!)
6. PPARRRRTTYYY!

Let's backtrack a little bit. So basically the Regional Drama Festival was pretty funny, in the sense that our performance was worse than all of our rehearsals combined. Adapting a two and a half hour play for a 15 minute time-slot was never going to us or the play any justice, and it felt like we were all on the X-Factor as the 'panel of judges' gave us feedback. Speaking of the X-Factor, if you currently have nothing to do, click here to watch the most hilarious audition for the British version of the show.

In between each performance Tiasha, Nina and I made up our own genre/way-of-life/trend, in response to everyone having to be either 'Indie' or 'Mainstream'. My friends, yesterday, EXSTREAMLESSTISM was born.

TO BE EXSTREAMLESS YOU:
1. Can't be Indie
2. Can't be mainstream
3. Have to be somewhere inbetween
4. Be able to do the signature 'Exstreamless' hand move, which is a cross between the 'rock on' hand gesture' and the 'Eshays' gesture (....I hope you understand my terminology....)
5. Be able to recite our tag-line:
Rock on
Hang loose
Get high

YES, I know it sounds like we are playing the game 'Bop it' (if you are unaware of what 'Bop It' is, and you are really, really bored, click here).

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS, Exstreamlesstism for you.

Onto a different tangent, I loved loved loved the new Sass&Bide collection (London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011‎). They have finally moved away from the whole 'black/silver/white' look which was getting a tad repetitive. They have introduced bright colours and a diverse range of fringe-like textures which all look amazing (on the models, not sure how they would look on 'normal people'). The new collection is a whole new 'look' for Sass&Bide, and I applaud them for taking a new direction! If you want to see a few highlights of the collection, click here\

I really, really want this outfit. I've began to look around to find the perfect pair of shorts. They have to be denim, white-washed, and ripped on the legs.

I'm also going to buy this dress with my babysitting income...I absolutely LOVE IT AHSDJADH

I also know which movie I'll be watching 24/7 throughout the duration of the holidays:

Before I publish this post, I wanted to put these two photos as I would love to be in these two locations right now. Partying on a yacht and swimming in some exotic location by day, lying under the stars by night. Also, the pictures are damn pretty!

一路順風 (Bon Voyage)

EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE DITCHING ME FOR EUROPE I though this song was cute and it reminds me of Europe/late-nights-on-planes-flying-over-cities/YOU. Plus the lyrics are pretty cute...HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER. Yours Sincerely, Your Jealous Friend Chloe.

Two ravens in the old oak tree and
One for you and one for me and
Bluebells in the late December
I see signs now all the time

I found some photos which summarize what I'LL be doing these holidays (in no particular order): Sleeping, reading, partying/hanging with friends, SWIMMING

PEE.ESS. I absolutely HATE HATE HATE any music of the 'Screamo' genre, and I thought this was so, so incredibly funny.
Click here to listen to it

PEE.PEE.ESS. I attempted to cut one of my singlet tops to make it cropped and failed. There goes a perfectly fine top. RIP.

FREEDOM* (*almost)

DRAMA IS OVER!
Goodbye FOREVER monologue, and I wont miss you...even though it was fun pretending to be drunk for a yearly assessment :P Now I am at home eating vegetable samosas and LCM'S (the ones that are plain and choc-chip). Life is sweet, except for the fact that ELENI IS DITCHING ME FOR EUROPE TOMORROW! Tomorrow is Regional Drama Festival (we are second, and have to stay FOR THE ENTIRE THING), then Legal orals, then FREEEEEDDDDDOOOOMMMMMM! . Aaahh these holidays are going to be jam-packed with awesomeness.

CAN THEY JUST FINISH ALREADY

Exams are getting on my nerves.

In other news, I got a haircut (trim)/side fringe, had two coffees, finished my drama logbook, whistled Teenage Dream for a lot longer than necessary, and rehearsed my monologue tomorrow about 1000001 times.

P.S I want I jumper like this. Now just need the money.

I also discovered my future car.

SNAPS FOR COLLINGWOOD

Even though I am a loyal (to an extent) Sydney Swans member, I have to admit that I am SO HAPPY THAT COLLINGWOOD ARE IN THE GRANDFINAL!! AFL is SO (x100000) much better than NRL. I honestly don't understand why people like NRL: it's sooooo boring. They run for 5 metres. Tackled. Ball taken by a player of opposing team. That player then runs with the ball for 5 metres. Tackled. Repeat this process times 10000000000 and add a few trys and THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS, NRL summarized in 32 words (yes, I counted). Oh, and the AFL guys are heaps cuter. Just saying. Google Ted Richards and Dale Thomas.

Today was a lovely day. I like the word lovely. Lovely. Say it out out loud. I just realised that the word 'love' is in it. Cute. ANYWHO, back to my day. I basically spent the whole day at the cafe near my house Edmunds and Greer with various different people, including my Dad, brother, and some of my friends, which included Eleni, who is jetting off to Europe on Tuesday. YES I am jealous. Rachel and I also made a pact that we are both going to have valentines on next year's Valentines Day. Oh, and I wasted all of my pocket-money on coffee. Very wise Chloe, very wise.

I also had the life-changing epiphany that I want to buy a satchel (like the one below), and Eleni might be buying one I have my heart set on from Topshop when she's in London :D
